Familiar staff some of which I have been looked after for over 20 years plus. From Australia I have always considered the hotel as home away from home Breakfast is the highlight of my trip. Constant quality and service. Friendly staff.

The hotel is well situated and has good parking facilities. The room is okay and the beds are comfortable. The distance to Rotterdam is also very doable.
It took almost an hour before we could go into our room, because of the cancellation of the reservation and when we finally got to the room the door didn't open because of empty batteries in the lock...

Terrace and pool area was lovely and quaint. The front desk staff members were great and super friendly.
Upon putting feet down from the car, I saw a couple of rats scurrying across the garden patches!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Was not expecting to witness this at a 4 star hotel but apparently it’s normal in Netherlands. I’ve not seen rodents anywhere else in Rotterdam nor Schiedan. We stayed in room 420 for two nights with no breakfast so cannot comment. Rooms are quite tight but functional. I had requested some towels however I was handed brown stained towels by housekeeping staff members - absolutely revolting!! Thankfully I had packed my own towels. The lobby carpeting is really dirty and the bathroom because of the lighting it fools your eyes but I could see yellow stains in the bathroom sink. I don’t think I would stay here unless absolutely necessary but I don’t see myself coming back here.

Location is near the freeway. If you have a car you can get on the freeway very fast
We travelled with 2 adults and 3 small kids. We had to book 2 rooms (although the room was big enough). The rooms were on different floors, which was very inconvenient. Also, on the first day wifi was out. Parking will cost you 10 euros a day

The hotel staff is very attentive. The reception area, restaurant and the bar are quite nice; great that there were many attractions to keep the kids busy, both inside the hotel and in the garden. A large and convenient parking space with a grocery store just 5 min away. The hotel rooms and the overall infrastructure is abit outdated and obviously one would wish for a more modern experience. However, overall, the hotel did all what we wanted - it was a convenient and affordable location to reach by car Hague (20 min), Rotterdam (10 min), tulip fields in Lisse (40 min) and Amsterdam (~1 h).
