It was different to be able to stay on a ship
Paid parking when you are a paying guest, paying to do a tour when you are a guest. Not clearly signposted as to what areas you are not allowed to go to when exploring and getting told off for being in the wrong area when looking for the bar. The cool air didn’t seem to work making the room

It’s like being on an old cruise ship, with check-in, staff and everything like on the original ship. Nice onboard bar.
Location is a bit far from everywhere. But they have a free shuttle service.

The rooms are great the beds are so comfy I didn’t want to get up. A unique place which has so much history. Plenty to do and the food is delicious. If I come back to Rotterdam I’m staying here

The ship itself is super cool and you kind of get a titanic vibe from it (in a good way). There are lots of things to do.
- We walked into the room and there was a dirty tissue laying on one of the shelfs plus randomly 2 euros. Before going into Rotterdam we told the staff at the reception and were ensured that she would let the cleaning crew know. When we came back a few hours later, the tissue was still there. We received a call from the reception, asking if everything was ok. We told them again but nothing happened since the cleaning crew was apparently already off. Next morning we checked out and had to tell the story at the reception one more time. This time the staff was amazing and compensated us but the overall service experience wasn’t a good one. Besides the tissue, there was dust piling up in the outlet and the small mirror was also looking dirty.
- Parking is 22,- and hotel guests don’t get a discount.

I don't have the chance to sail across the ocean, a stay on this retired ocean liner got me closer to the sea. The room is spacious and the decorations are classic. Staffs were friendly and helpful. The guided tour to the engine room was impressive. Breakfast was nice.
Not every area in this ship is open to hotel guests, even after you bought additional tickets, which is a little disappointing.
