The staff was very welcoming upon arrival and ordered the transport to our cruise ship the next day.
The location was convenient to the cruise terminal which was the main reason for booking there. Restaurant near by.

It’s near everything
It wasn’t completely clean, and the cleaning lady does not come every day. On top of that, the floor is tiled, there was no air conditioning, and there was only one window in a room shared by five people. The window also did not open fully, so the ventilation and aeration were not very good.

Perfect location, although a bit noisy! Everything you need around the corner and an easy check-in with remote/online unlocking and bluetooth access to rooms.
It was my own fault, but without a charge in your phone it's difficult to access your room. Had to recharge my phone in a nearby restaurant to get in again. Also it was difficult to reach any staff.

Good location
Very old mattresses covered by mattress toppers, felt like a school boarding room. The bathroom flooded late at night, struggled to contact anyone, wasn't offered a new room or even given an apology. Very poor

Great location, super friendly and gentle host, good breakfast, nice bar, money-value balanced.
Noise at the 3rd floor by the opening/closing doors of the guests going to washrooms every night non-stop.
And vacuum cleaner at 8 o’clock in the morning.

Extremely kind and helpful staff, extra services, decent breakfast, very good value for money
The only issue was a permanent noise in the room (coming from a fan located outside the room?), thus sleeping with earplugs only possible

The hotel cancel our booking in the last minutes without any reason. We end up booking another hotel but with highter price and no service. All trouble because of Hotel Santa Maria.

Simple and utilitarian. As stated in the description so expectations well managed. Great price for one night in Rotterdam.
Shared toilet/bathroom is inconvenient but manageable.

The location is great, the owners and staff are genuinely really nice people. We love the fact that it’s a family run business. The room was really clean the hotel was really clean. We couldn’t fault the place.
