EXTREMELY dirty rooms, got harassed by some randoms at the lobby and the workers did nothing, there was multiple scammers asking for money in the lobby and again, hotel workers did nothing, very sketchy, didnt felt safe as a female solo traveler

I liked the location, I liked the staff, very nice and accomodating, I liked the breakfast they served, I loved the coffee for breakfast. I liked the bathroom
I didnt like that the cleaning team did not dust, swip and mop appropriately. I didnt like the size of the room for two people. It was almost impossible to walk around the room and coexist in it.

The required facilities to make my stay comfortable are not missing!
The only thing is the kitchen ventilation is poor ..it get really hot in there when there is cooking going on.. solution* the back door could help if opened.

It was cheap and central
I stayed for 8 days and can safely say this was the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. There were rats in the room, the ceiling leaked water wherever it rained, the shower leaked and would flood the bathroom floor, the lock to the room would jam 80% of the time and lock you out of the room, it always smells like weed, the WiFi was basically nonexistent in the room, I’ve run out of toilet paper twice, I had some good roommates and other really disrespectful roommates that would turn the lights on at 2am in a room full of sleeping people, some receptionists were nice but others couldn’t care less about helping you, the utensils to the kitchen have to be checked out so basically only one person/group can cook at a time in a crappy cramped kitchen. Rotterdam is in a housing crisis and this hostel is at the epicenter of it, but that doesn’t excuse how bad the hostel is.

The hostel is close to the city center. There are cool cafes nearby. The staff is very kind.
