Tooooo much mosquitoes in the room - I killed more than 20 mosquitoes in a night. The bed and pillow seem not clean enough - there are hairs and stains on the pillows.

Breitner Hotel is ideally situated in a quiet back street just off the busy and vibrant area around the Binnenweg and Middellandstraat, easy walking distance to the Lijnbaan shopping area and easy access to tram lines as well. Different types of rooms available from small singles to large well appointed family suites. Very clean bathroom and super comfortable beds. No coffee making equipment in the rooms. Very attentive staff and cosy bar area for evening drinks. Outside sitting area at the back of the hotel is very nice as well.

The hotel’s location was perfect for us. The staff were friendly, and although the room was a little dated, it was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Unfortunately, this was the worst night of our 10 day vacation because there were hundreds of mosquitoes in the room. We checked the windows in the middle of the night but failed to notice a small one in the corner that had been left open, so we were bitten throughout the night. As it was too hot to sleep under the covers, we only managed a couple of hours of sleep. While this was not entirely the hotel’s fault, I would recommend not leaving the windows open after the room has been cleaned by the housekeeping staff.

Very convenient location, within walking distance of Rotterdam Central Station, Albert Heijn, Rotterdam city centre, and plenty of bars and cafés. It was an ideal base for our short stay in Rotterdam.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but we slept well with the balcony door open, enjoying the cool air from outside. Being on the fourth floor made this a comfortable option for us.

A great family run hotel of the old school. The very helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing. The position easy tram access close by attractions
The damn mossies. Being very warm we wanted the windows open but no insect screens. The staff provided mosquito repellent which helped immensely
