Rooms are not being cleaned during your stay, unless you specifically request for it. Window in the room I stayed in could not be opened

I think overall cleanliness can be improved. There were multiple areas that were red flags for me. For example: - The check-in process took a very long time and this is despite having a pre-booking made on booking.com. - The nearby decorative pieces in the lobby were accumulating a massive amount of dust, clearly indicating that this was an oversight for not just one month but many months of accumulation of dust and dirt in surrounding areas. - Our hotel room also smelled of cigarettes despite it being a non-smoking room. - Upon entering the room the first thing that hit me was a smell of very strong deodorant that was sprayed before entry. This leads me to believe that maybe something had been sprayed prior to us entering the room to mask the smell of tobacco and cigarettes, which was still very present in the room. Although the bathroom was clean, the wash basin was almost useless to use as the mirror above the wash basin had a shelf that protruded out from the wall and covered half the basin. This means that when leaning over to wash your face in the basin, it was almost impossible without you smashing your forehead on the shelf and then causing an absolute mess of water splashing all over the floor. I'm not sure who thought of this design and how it got approved but it's completely illogical. Also the coffee machine in our room was full of mould. Upon further inspection I advised my relatives not to consume any coffee from the coffee machine. It seems generally this hotel has issues with cleaning thoroughly. Another odd thing is that upon arriving in my room I found a load of post-it notes stuck on the wall from a previous guest, basically expressing how grateful they were for their stay. Although I get the intention behind it, I thought it was quite unprofessional to have a new guest enter the room with a load of post-it notes stuck on the wall. A very silly thing to do and they should have been taken off prior to me entering the room for my stay.
