Location is amazing.
Water boiler in the room was calcified. I couldn't use it.
No slippers in the room.

Check in - easy and welcoming Breakfast - good selection of tasty food. Coffee machine good and freshly baked Bread all to a very good standard with clean and comfortable surroundings. Dinner - extensive menu. Black Angus steak cooked to our preferences and staff efficient and friendly. The addition of a sparkling candle for our 49rh wedding anniversary was a lovely surprise. Thank you! Swimming pool and sauna areas were excellent very relaxing with views of the Forrest adding to the ambiance. Cleanliness- excellent. Very comfortable beds and the quietness of the woods meant a good sleep.
Room 308 - due to its location on the top floor end the shape of the room was quirky. A steep slope to one side and a separate W/c that was enclosed in a tiny space. We didnt complain but we would have if our stay was longer than three nights. I would recommend avoiding this room if possible.

The suite was a great room for our family. Location is very peaceful with beautiful places to walk. The playroom in the hotel for the kids is great! Food in the restaurant was delicious
The coffee/tea doesn't get restocked and would be great to have some extra in the room. Also would appreciate some conditioner or moisturiser along with the shampoo. If you want to use the pool you need to rent a robe or use the towels from the room but then you don't have any dry towels when you return from the pool.

It is a comfortable hotel, great with pool and spa facilities, allows dogs, location for leisure purposes and long walks very good, staff friendly and pleasant. However: not enough staff; what used to be a very good restaurant was barely okay on weekdays, probably better on weekends because those days it was packed but then we didnt eat there.
We had a fire alarm on our last night; no fire but a water leakage with ultimately no water at all all of the morning

General condition of the building is a little dated but everything works fine and maintenance is good. Beds very comfortable. Linen and towels all soft, clean and fluffy enough. The gym is very well equipped.
There is no shampoo or hair conditioner, just one general shampoo for body and hair and a small bar of soap for handwashing. Wish the spa facilities are not segregated into two parts with the other section admissible at extra payment. In addition, it feels like making guests pay extra to rent bathrobes and slippers will save them a lot. Not what a four-star hotel should scrimp on. TV in bedroom could do with upgrading to one that would cast or stream. We werent in the room long enough to need it but if we stayed more than 3 nights, it would be appreciated.

Room - great. clean, large, ample lighting, forest outside. extras thin on the ground. 1 tea bag...bring your own! Breakfast - good selection. Large spread out area where you could sit inside/on terrace/around a corner. Great. Location - well, its location location location! Stunning Reception - staff were very kind, efficient and happy
4 saunas mentioned in the card in the room. I paid at the desk for the robe etc, went into the pool area and found I could only go to one sauna. it was small and packed as all the gym membership folks use it. I would have had to pay another 22.50 to go to the Infra red sauna. I really did not like that!
