Once the home of King William II and later of industrialist Petrus Regout, Vaeshartelt is now yours to discover! Stroll through our green park including a vineyard, vegetable garden, fruit trees and a picturesque pond. Discover the Secret Garden or relax under centuries-old trees. For those who like to be active, beautiful walking and cycling routes start from the estate through the Limburg Heuvelland, along the Meuse and through charming villages. In the castle, you will find Bistro Els, where we cook with love for the region. We use as many products from our own land as possible or purchase products locally. Fresh and tasteful! Our rooms in the adjoining hotel wing are comfortable and practically furnished, with a private bathroom and everything you need for a pleasant stay. And the best part? You can park for free at the accommodations, so you don't have to worry about a thing! Vaeshartelt is only a few minutes' drive from Maastricht. From P+R Maastricht-Noord, a bus leaves for the city center every 15 minutes, so you can be in the heart of the city within 5 minutes. Valkenburg and the picturesque Heuvelland are also easily accessible by car or bicycle. Vaeshartelt is the place to celebrate life, surrounded by nature and yet close to the city.

Very decent breakfast, lovely location, quiet, easy to get into Maastricht along pleasant walkway.
Restaurant limited choice. Very much somewhere caters for large parties and events. Some difficulty finding the accesss road.

Staff were fantastic and helpful. Rooms were lovely and bed was comfortable. Bar and courtyard area were pleasant and hotel sits in very picturesque surroundings.
Location is a little bit out of the way and does require a taxi to visit central maastricht. Around 25 to 30 euros Although the village has a couple of restaurants etc which isn't that far away.

They accept dogs and the staff in the restaurant was extremely nice, specially the Spanish waitress.
The room had some signs of wear, which I understand was a room they gave us based on having a dog with us. The bathroom is small, and the sink is in the middle of the corridor by the entrance, which could be uncomfortable for some people. They charged us for the dog but wont provide a bowl for water or similar. We had to request for it.

Exceptional hospitality, the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Comfy beads, nice ambiance, lovely walking trails around the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Food in the bistro is really nice, park and garden looks great.
The room had neither air conditioning nor a fridge, and the double room did not look like the photos shown on the booking website.

Strange layout of rooms on first floor which is actually below the ground floor. The toilet area is also very cramped.

Nice surroundings, great to visit with a dog. Restaurant was nice as well
Too much perfume used in the room. It was too strong for someone with sensitivity to scents. Bed was not comfortable. Price/quality was out of balance
