It was a completely different experience! Rooms very small, but being on a boat, it makes sense. Was perfect for one night sleep over! Staff was really friendly and helpful! Location is perfect to get into Town

Very cool experience to stay over on a boat! Its small but you get use to it, it was a bit cold and tired turning my heater on but don't know if it worked. Breakfast was great and just the right amount of a crossiant, bread, cheese, a deli slice meat and a hard boiled egg!

It was a unique experience staying on a boat. The staff were friendly. I’m glad I was able to do the experience.
It was really cold. I did ask for a small heater and that helped to warm up the room. It is a very small room. The shower is also in the same location as the toilet. I think it’s a unique experience but one night is enough.

Staff were friendly and offered a free room upgrade, which I appreciated. The staff (only?) speak English at the front desk. Botel is 15-20min walk from central station, yet 5-10 min walk from the city center.
Small bathroom, yet all facilities were present for a night's sleep. The room itself is small, which I guess is expected on a boat hotel with limited space. Yet is you're taller than average, you might notice this a couple of times. There weren't many points for electricity available (for example to charge a phone), so you might have to make things work.

This botel is really not value for money. The photographs are misleading as advertised. Our double room was really cramped and warm. The passage and overhead main area is very noisy in the evening when trying to sleep. The breakfast is also a let down for the prices being paid.

I liked the location and boat decor
The room was very uncomfortably hot with no air ventilation so we struggled to fall asleep, the showers were getting clogged up and the drains smelled bad. I also got charged extra for tourist taxes but I have been traveling around the Netherlands for the past 4 months and this was the first time I got charged tourist taxes.

The Botel is a pleasant and different kind of place to stay. Rooms are small but adequate, and the bed is comfortable. It may get a little hot on warm summer days but the windows help to cool it in the evenings. The location on the river adjacent to a beautiful park and near the historic city core is great, a pleasant walking distance to most things of interest in Maastricht. There is an option for breakfast -- enjoyed the Dutch pancakes, and in the afternoon and evening there are light snack options -- loved the marinated olives. Nearby north of the adjacent park are more substantial meal options.

I visited on a motorbike tour , I liked that you could drive the bike down a ramp onto the boat for security. You also have to drive it back up , might be tricky in wet conditions. The deck areas of the boat are very nice , breakfast was nice and you can order beer , coffee etc .
The cabins are really small , especially if you have a lot of motorbike gear . I had a room with two beds , one was used to store kit . If this bed was occupied it would be tight .
