Great location, a few minutes' walk away from downtown. Easily accessible by public transportation to get to and from the trainstation and also to the MECC conference center.
Very nice and helpful staff that did their best to help and make sure you are taken care of.
Comfortable bed and nice water pressure in the shower. Room facilities of coffee maker, tea kettle, refrigerator and safe were great. Also good side room.
Breakfast was good and they offered to make your egg your way, options of vegetables and fruit, quite satisfactory.
The hotel needs some upkeep.
The pillows of the bed were huge, and thus not comfortable.
My corridor smelled of cigarette smoke to such extend, that I had to switch rooms. The room I switched to didn't lock, so I switched again.
The gym had unfortunately no weights and was not clean with lots of dust on the floor.. Also no towels present in the gym and no option to clean the cardio machine after use. Too bad, because they have enough space there to set up a (basic) weight section and make sure it's clean so the experience would be much nicer.

It's quite expensive for a basic room , the breakfast is rather basic and the room windows cannot be opened

Very good location, the room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good. Both the reception check in lady (forgot her name) and the reception check out gentleman Benny are very nice and initiate to help which is highly appreciated. Thank you again.
Everything is very good except the car parking space is not on-site which is located outside about 5-7 mins walk that is also not a big problem for us.

It was clean
The staff wasn't very nice or kind. No hello, welcome or good morning, how was your stay?.. both check in and out where both very quickly and unpersonal.
Then,.. I needed a toothbrush because I unfortunately forgot mine and I was a sunday and a holiday so I couldn't buy one myself. When I asked for one, I was told they didn't have it. (and no I'm sorry). In my opinion every hotel should have a pair of toothbrushes, doesn't matter if it is to give away for free or against a fee..
Well that's it, it was all a bit disappointing. It was a very long time since I last stayed at bastillon and I most likely wouldn't do it again...
Ps, it felt like there where still winter blankets on the bed.. it was very hot during my stay and I couldn't open a window or cool it down more

The receptionist called us and in an unfriendly tone informed that they are a drug-free hotel and that the cleaning lady had allegedly smelled something from our room. She didn’t come to our room. As a favor, they weren't kicking us out, just warning us. First, no one smoked in our room. Second, our room was right across from the elevator, and you could smell a whole kaleidoscope of odors there. And third, the conversation immediately began with accusations. Passing the reception desk twice, I wanted to ask what it was and why they behaved so passive-aggressively without understanding the situation, but no one was there.

The city is beautiful. Great location for exploring Maastricht as only a 5 minute walk in to the centre. The staff is friendly. Kettle also available and safe.
Room was warm and was not able to cooling down the room. The window was small and not possible to open the window. We have reported it. It would be good to have a larger window with possibility to open. Thank you very much for considering this.
