Location, and room size
Checked in, immediately noticed the room was too warm and missing the fridge, they moved me to a different room that had fridge but was also too warm, when I talked to the frontdesk they told me they have "Climate Control" not "Air conditioning" Meaning no cooling.
I tried to sleep through the night but it was impossible, tossing and turning in my sweat, at 3am i went to frontdesk again, they gave me a tower fan to help. it didnt. I went out and sat by the train station to cooldown and pass the time til morning as sleeping was impossible. To give you an idea of how bad it was in the room, after 15-20mins outside i was feeling chilly already and started walking around
At 7 am I was back at the frontdesk where I was told, my options are
1- technician check the unit in my room
2- try another room (which ofcourse will be the same because the entire hotel doesnt have air conditioning)
No option for refund at all if I want to check out not even partially because the hotel website shows "climate control" correctly but booking.com shows "air conditioning" and I should have checked the hotel website first before booking on Booking.com
Chatted with booking.com and they contacted the hotel, eventually we agreed to pay the night I spent and refund the remaining. I need to remind you that all you are reading is happening over hours and all while I had no sleep at all.
I checked out around 9:30am and after about 1.5 hours I receive email from the hotel about a new reservation for the 2 nights that we just agreed to cancel and refund. At this point I am not even in Maastricht. After some back and forth with emails and receipts eventually they cancel that fictitious reservation.
Couple of notes, I acknowledge that sensitivity to room temp is subjective, and may not be that bad for someone else, but I am writing what "I" experienced.

The location is very convenient: right across from the central train station. But the hotel is very outdated and badly needs renovation! There is no air conditioning.
Add air conditioning to every room- not a loud unit blowing air through a window.

Breakfast was great and at least the bar was airconditioned.
Room claimed to be air conditioned and wasn’t. The room smelled like smoke. We were Room 114 and got heat of the sun reflected from the black rubber roof next to our window. No airflow was improved by opening the window due to the position in the hotel.

You really cannot beat the location. Right across from the train station and in the heart of downtown. Wonderful to not have to worry about transportation

The location by the train & bus stations.
The bathroom. The offer of a complimentary drink on days when we did not have our room cleaned.
Nice large breakfast room.
The keycards to the bedroom did not work on some days, which involved several trips to reception.

The Location was Awesome & the Staff worked with us on the discrepancies of our Room in which they transferred us to a better Room and Olga really worked hard on getting my Money back from the double-booking error that Booking.com made.
We were given 2 Twin Beds put together instead of a Full-size Bed & also the Shower Curtain was not the right size for the Tub, but Thankfully, the next day the Staff transferred Us to a better Room.

Basic room at a good location! If you travel by train, it cannot be beat.
Breakfast was good, but overpriced in my opinion.
A tight parking garage, for a steep price, however at the hotel, can be booked.
Staff was professional.
The design of the bathroom was terrible! If you are tall, don't hit your head, when trying to use the mirror. Lighting, also, also was terrible. Shower didn't drain correctly.
Getting to the room was complicated, and with big luggage, not easy (up/down stairs, even when using the lift).

The location is very convenient next to the train station
The room was smaller than advertised. The beds are not very comfortable, the window was small, and in general, the property has not been refurbished in ages. Staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't try the breakfast. All in all, this is not value for money.

Wonderful
Right in the center! The room was quite big. It had a couch/bed type of thing ( in addition to two twin beds ) by a large window which looks out onto the train station, which was really lovely. It was quite quiet as well.
The reception staff were really nice and welcoming.
The lobby is very relaxing and large.
Nice big pool but no sauna, it needs a little renovation, but it was clean enough.
Bathroom was comfortable too.
The couch thingie by the window was quite dirty but we requested a white sheet to cover it.
The vents were not great, could get quite stuffy in the room, but luckily there was a window that opened up enough for fresh air.

The hotel has a very convenient location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was an electric kettle and coffee machine in the room along with some tea bags and coffee pods, which is always nice to have at hand.
Water the shower did not drain properly and almost half of the bathroom floor was covered in it. As a result, the tiles were quite slippery, The room could have had a fresher smell. The wallpapers seemed somewhat old and dirty in some parts.
