The family running the B&B are lovely! The property is old and needs a little TLC.
Our room was small and so hot (due to the weather). The ceiling fan did little to change the heat and we could only open one window.
The fridge in the room was good to have.
Continental breakfast was nice with a good choice of bread rolls, pastries and fruit.
Only little things...
the bin in the room was not emptied once during our visit.
The TV had no signal
WiFi was intermittent

Beds were comfortable
The stairs there was no offer to help. You could not walk on the floor comfortably there were big lumps under carpet. It was like mountain climbing the stairs then the lumps and getting into the ensuite was another thing with a step you had to climb over. Pillows were old and lumpy. I had a towel under my pillow I think rain had come into the window. When we left at 8.20 in the morning all doors were locked. Nobody to collect keys. Not a restaurant as proclaimed. You need a car to get here

The owner was very pleasant.
I expected a hotel and got an airbnb type room. Felt like we were in the attic & the floor plan is not really accessible. Location was quite far from Eteling & bus station. Added taxi cost made it too expensive for the value

This thatched cottage B&B was in a beautiful setting, perfect for peace and tranquility before and after a long day at work. The room was a generous size allowing me to be able to do my morning yoga with no problems.
