Philip, Xaviera and the staff are awesome. They are really friendly and give great tips on what to do in the area/larger city. Staying at their place felt like being welcomed by good friends into their home. The cherries on top were Pukkie and Luna, their house cat and dog, who joined us everyday for breakfast. The location is also great, having an easy access to public transportation going in to the city, but far away from the chaos of touristy areas.

Phillip and Xaviera are gracious, helpful hosts who run a B&B that definitely feels like a home. My room was an eclectic but well-furnished collection of furniture--definitely not an antiseptic hotel room--with an outdoor deck. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and there are a dog and cat to pet while you eat. The location is excellent if you're going to the RAI Convention Center. It also is in a nice neighborhood south of downtown and near Beatrix Park. In terms of value for money, you get a good deal with Xaviera and Phillip (and quite a backstory!). Just don't expect anything ultra-chic or hotel-like.
I knew I was getting a room with a bathroom across a narrow hall. That said, both the toilet and separate shower-plus-sink were pretty claustrophobic. Also, as is often the case in old homes, the stairs from ground floor are narrow and steep, so you need to be careful going up and down them.

owners are just amazing people, highly recommend to spend some time with them. I believe you can say that "weirdness and nonconformity" is welcome, but all in a decent manner
house is bit older and you can see that. here and there it was not perfeclty cleaned, but we had a toddler with us so we are more cautios about that. but still the value is great

You stay at a very famous place in Amsterdam with famous people. Xaviera and Filip are amazing hosts. It is very close to RAI, why I have chosen the place. Bed is comfortable and the place is very quiet. Clean.
Little bit old and need refurbishment, windows/door do not close properly so you feel draught quite often.

Xaviera and Philip welcomed us so warmly, we felt right at home – like hanging out with the coolest grandparents ever!
The location is great: quiet, green, and still easy to get around. The place is cozy, with a nice balcony and garden, plus a big, comfy bed.
Breakfast was tasty and generous.
If you need anything, just ask – they’re always happy to help and love sharing fascinating stories.
Their sweet dog totally stole our hearts.
We’d love to come back – thanks for everything!
