What a delightful stay! We love the location close to Centraal Station and central Amsterdam while being enough out of the way to be quiet. The boat is cozy, warm, and comfortable (we visited in cool weather). The hosts are friendly and very helpful with suggestions for our visit to Amsterdam.
We loved everything about it! It is important to know that you need to be able-bodied to get on and off the boat, and larger people or people over 6 feet tall might be less comfortable here due to the cozy quarters.

Outstanding- a unique experience staying in a beautifully restored cabin on a boat on a canal. Spaces are small, the bed is a box bed and the steps up and down are very steep- but it’s so well organised that we had everything we needed for our four night stay. Super helpful but not intrusive hosts. About 12 minutes walk from Central Station.

Wonderful stay in a unique Amsterdam canal boat. The location was close to all the attractions and central train station, but in a quiet neighbourhood. The bed was super comfortable & the shower hot. Host Hank was very welcoming. We highly recommend Westerdock 25.

The cabin was very warm and cozy. The bed was also very comfortable. The boat was in an ideal location and was a short walk to Centraal station and town. Supermarket facilities were close by and the hosts were warm and accommodating. We would highly recommend staying here.

Amsterdam is renowned for its hundreds of floating homes along the canals, and Westerdok25 is one of them, offering a truly immersive experience of the Dutch lifestyle. In my opinion, it’s absolutely fantastic. The cabin is small but cozy, with every detail carefully thought out. For two people, it feels quite comfortable. I highly recommend it to couples looking for a unique getaway, allowing them to fully embrace the charm of beautiful Amsterdam. The only caveat is for older guests, as the steep staircase might be a bit challenging.
The location is unbeatable, just a 10-minute walk from Central Station.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank Hank, who was incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with plenty of helpful tips and information to make our vacation even better.

A beautiful location and lovely, helpful host. It was a great experience to stay on a house boat and the cabin was lovely. The bed was bigger than we thought it would be and very comfortable.
The cabin was a fantastic base for exploring the city and it was everything we wanted but just be aware it wouldn't be ideal if you want somewhere you can lounge around with only a chair or the bed as your options. Thankfully we had beautiful weather and an amazing time exploring and just used the cabin as a base and to sleep which was perfect.

Great location. It's close to shops, restaurants, public transport and everything you need, and yet it's a really calm area. Not to mention how beautiful the surroundings are.
Hank, our host, was also really nice and helpful. He provided us with a great list of recommendations for cafés, grocery shops, and restaurants to name a few. He even made sure we had fresh flowers which we loved.
It takes a while to get used to staying on a boat because everything is on a slight angle, but that's nothing to fault the host for and really just a part of the experience.

Very quaint house boat with a lovely host. It was certainly an experience and great for a few nights. The location is very central to everything!
The bed is curved as it is on a boat. If two people were staying and over 6 feet they would struggle to fit in the bed (and shower). We were fine as I am quite small and my partner took the “straight” part of the bed.

Its proximity to central Amsterdam. Its perfect for a young fit couple. We are in our 80's. 30 years ago ot would have been absolutely perfect. In addition,every home should have a Hank

I loved how friendly hank(the host) was. He was always very responsive and helpful. Everything we needed was available, very cute and cozy place inside. I loved the views around the boat, i enjoyed very much my night walks back to it. Very safe neighborhood.
The place is quite small, but expected for a room on a boat. Also the location is a 10 mins walk from amsterdam central and a 20 mins walk from dam square. In the winter this could be challenging as the bus schedule in amsterdam is a bit messy (at least to the boat's location). But overall no problem at all i loved the place, i would recommend it to any tourist:)
