The location was so convenient to transportation. It was a great home base for all my adventures
One night I was intimidated by a guy who was panhandling and insisted that I didn't feel sorry for him enough. I had just given the last of my cash to someone who truly looked down on his luck in the Metro and it made me feel bad. Later it made me angry because he made me feel unsafe to venture out at night as a woman traveling alone.

This is my 2nd time staying at THIS HO(S)TEL and it meets my needs very well. I like a safe and clean place to sleep close to the train station.
It seems like some of the fixtures in the bathroom are rusting and/or not working properly. Like the shower works, but there was an opening or untightened fixture which caused water to spew out where it shouldn't. Super minor, but definitely something they could fix.

The location was really great! It was clean and the staff was helpful and nice. There was an option to leave our luggage there after check out :)
The rooms are small, which we were prepared for, but the doors of the rooms were very hard to open, which made it a bit hard to ventillate the room. It was good that there was an option to store the luggage, but just informatively I’d mention that the storage room had garbage bins in it.

Location was amazing
Staff were really helpful
The room was very cosy, and really not meant for the size of the cases we had. We knew this when we booked (we had problems with previous accommodation and this was booked last minute emergency) so, the room was exactly as expected and perfectly adequate.
Would def stay here again.... with smaller bags!

Small room, which wasn’t advertised, shared bathroom with nasty people during that hallway, staff is quick to watch who enters the property, but doesn’t tell people to clean up after themselves

Great location, 5 min to the Amsterdam central station. Lots of shop and places to eat on the same road.
With the hostel being on a busy road, and downstairs being a bar/restaurant and right at the centre of the city, the building was surprisingly good sound proof. Don’t hear any noise from outside. If you hear anything it’d be your neighbours.
Up to 5ft8 of height the room don’t feel as small as I previously imagined. Anyone taller it might be a bit tight
Bed was comfortable we rested very well first two night.
Uni sex bathroom, don’t feel fully comfortable to share bathroom with opposite sex.
Went to the bar for some water. There was both a male and female staff serving 2 customers so we waited patiently until they are done, but even after they finished serving, neither of the staff lift their head up to acknowledge us until we verbally engage first.
Not sure why but by third night it felt really hot to sleep in, and although the noise was minimal, it can be heard, the chair dragging in the restaurant and neighbours talking.
