The Toren Amsterdam, by The Pavilions features elegant accommodations alongside the famous Keizersgracht canal, around the corner from the Anne Frank House. It offers elegant rooms with flat-screen TVs with digital entertainment system. The Toren hotel is actually made up of two beautiful historical canal houses. With a heritage dating back from the 17th century, these two canal houses are called the main house and the private house. The main house is where you will find the guest reception desk, bar lounge and ‘silent garden’. The private house is located within 164 feet from the main house and only offers rooms! Each air-conditioned room at the Toren has an private bathroom with a bathtub. They have classic decorations such as chandeliers and ceiling paintings. Tea/coffee making facilities and a complimentary mini bar are also provided in every room. In the morning, guests can enjoy a delightful a la carte breakfast in the elegant breakfast room with views of the Keizersgracht. The trendy hotel bar serves refreshing drinks during the day. Westermarkt Tram Stop is less than 820 feet from the hotel. Dam Square and the Royal Palace are a 10-minute walk away. Location was perfect and the building was a former home which made it very comfortable and cozy.
The elevator was out of service and we had to walk up three flights of stairs with luggage.

The Toren is an elegant, perfectly located hotel with warm, helpful staff and a genuinely beautiful bar area, where my wife and I enjoyed drinks and a superb light dinner. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely.
My only quibble is that the hotel consists of two buildings, the second of which is an annex several doors up the canal, and we were not notified that we would be staying there. While the room was very nice, if a bit small, I think we ought to have been told we would not be in the hotel proper.

The room was this new “open plan” bedroom that hotels are doing where there is no separation between the bathroom and the room so in order to walk into the room you walk through the bath and sinks. Terrible layout. It’s a lot of money to pay to not have full privacy while brushing your teeth. Even if you’re going just with your partner, it’s uncomfortable.

Very comfortable room with aircon and nice extras. Lovely staff member who dealt with our late night pressure purchase when our flight was cancelled.
