Wonderful
Very warm and welcome check in and guest experience overall including in the restaurant. In a beautiful historic building. The room was modern with a lovely traditional pitched roof which made for a unique stay and had everything you could need. Very close to trams to take you anywhere in the city swiftly. Lots of amenities inc. gyms, shops restaurants cafes around you so no need to travel far for anything. A very convenient and safe neighbourhood.
The pitched roof extended to the shower so this room was not the most suitable for my tall family member. I would suggest flagging this in advance.

Atmosphere. Nice historical building. Good staff, alert and willing to offer assistance.
Not easy to access with a car.
It will be better if you have a handle in the shower for persons with disabilities and difficulties to keep balance.

Review: The College Hotel, Amsterdam
Our stay at The College Hotel was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The staff were incredibly polite, all fluent in English, and had a wonderful balance of professionalism and warmth—they never took themselves too seriously and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay.
The rooms were simply stunning. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathrooms were beautifully designed, adding a real touch of luxury to the experience. We also chose to include breakfast, which turned out to be an excellent decision. The food was truly 5-star quality, and we were allowed to order anything from the menu each morning—from a full English breakfast to yogurt bowls and continental options. Everything was delicious.
The location was perfect for our trip. We attended Metstrade at the RAI Exhibition Centre, and the hotel sat at an ideal midpoint between central Amsterdam and the exhibition venue—extremely convenient without compromising on atmosphere or charm.
Overall, the entire experience was amazing, and I would stay at The College Hotel again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Our room was divine. We knew from the very start that this was an exceptional property. Located on the edge of everything in Amsterdam it was within easy reach either walking or using the trams which were on your doorstep. The facilities were outstanding with a spacious room that was clean and wonderful staff that were friendly, polite and professional.
There is nothing to dislike here.
