Good
We booked a deluxe double room and requested a corner room which we got and that great. Was nicely decorated with sleek, modern interior and loved that we had a balcony and could let in fresh air. The room was a great size with won’t have room for two people although some toom was taken up by a broken tv. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up and we absolutely loved Izakaya restaurant downstairs.
The tv in our room didn’t work. The phone didn’t work either. We were then told to use the QR code and what’s app to contact them. So it begs the question of what’s the point of either? The tv and phone should be removed if they don’t work as they take up valuable space. The coffee machine and snack basket were on one bedside table, they could easily be moved to the tv cabinet area instead. We found that ordering room service was really slow and wished we could just make a phone call. The shower also gets water everywhere and made the bathroom slippery which is a hazard and should be fixed.

Poor
Staff was cheerful, but that was it. Not effective in anticipating problems, not well organised to know what services were already contracted. In summary, apparently outstanding, chaotic in reality.
Not a hotel to be recommended. Days before travelling they send you emails inviting you for a room upgrade for a price, a flowers’ bouquet welcoming you or including breakfast. All them at a reasonable price so I took them all. When I got there, the expected quiet room with balcony was not the assigned room but rather a noisy first floor one and there was no sight of the flowers.
Only after complaining, it was resolved, which means they have little care or supervision of what their customers get for what they pay.
We woke up early, and we enjoyed the prepaid breakfast (not a great choice of options but fair enough) and we hanged the sign to make up the room. When we were back, at around 16:00, the room was still untidy. Certainly we complaint again and in less than 2 hours!!! It was ready to use again. We got excuses from staff saying that they priorise rooms for new entries and leave the ones for existing clients for the evening.
All in all not proper for a 4-stars hotel at 400€ the night.
Not my next option in Amsterdam.

Pleasant
Nice location away from the chaos of downtown Amsterdam. The neighborhood is excellent, with many options for dining and shopping. Hotel building is pretty nice.
The rooms are quite small (20 sqm), making everything feel crowded. I had no space on my bedside table because the coffee machine and snacks occupied it. The decoration was dull and appeared old and dirty.
The shower glass was too short, so every time we showered, it wet the bathroom floor. Given the price of the room, we were disappointed with what it offered and the lack of attention to detail.

Nina was absolutely superb with helping us after we were fraudulently scammed with entrance tickets to the Anne Frank House . Our room was lovely with everything we needed and a lovely relaxing atmosphere throughout the hotel.

The hotel is quite well located, with public transport stops not too far away. - My room, No. 112, is modernly furnished. It has a coffee machine. The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are pleasant, and so is the duvet. - The bathroom is well equipped, though towel holders are missing.
The air conditioning was extremely disruptive. - On the first night, it was noisy and set to an uncomfortably low temperature. - The next day, I complained, and I was informed that it could only be adjusted centrally. - In the evening, it was then noisy and set to 27°C. The night staff couldn't properly adjust it. I slept exceptionally poorly that night. - The following day, the air conditioning was turned off, but the ventilation remained bothersome. - Due to the poor sleep, I was not well-prepared for the conference I attended. - I cannot recommend Room No. 112. - The staff left a card with two smiley faces and apologized, but in such a case, I would expect monetary compensation. - Although the hotel curtains do block out light, they are not attached to the walls at the edges, so proper darkening is not possible.

No problem with the hotel… the hotel had an issue with my insence stick in the room (I use it to meditate) and the front desk told me it was prohibited because of fire hazard but I never left the flame burning i always use water to douse the stick before leaving but just so you know… also (and this has NOTHING to do with the hotel but with BOOKING) please be advised that offers can change on a “booking whim”.. I purchased the hotel because it included a to and from taxi service to the airport (free shuttle service if reservation was higher than 400€ and no more than 3 passengers ) and after the purchase this shuttle service was denied because my reservation was above 800€ and we were 2 passengers…. We contacted booking and we are still waiting on a response….
