Been here a couple of times now, delighted with it first time, thus the return. A great little out of the way hotel, but still within 10 minutes walk of Centraal Station. A few lovely streets close by including an immensely picturesque street full of houseboats just one street over.

Clean, modern, fragrance in reception was lovely. Room was spacious and very well equipped. Slightly away from the centre but very convenient for the Central station and a short walk to plenty of connections to all of Amsterdam. Can recommend Dot In opposite the hotel for a gorgeous curry and Koffie & Zo 2 minutes away for snacks, coffee and breakfast.
On our final morning the fire alarm was activated. We left our room and ended up queueing on the stairs to exit the building. Whoever was at the emergency exit was having trouble opening it but they eventually did. In the meantime the alarm had stopped. There were no staff outside guiding anyone, in fact they continued to deal with guests at the front desks. No other announcements and everyone was re-entering the building. On returning to the foyer we could easily smell the cause of the alarm - burnt toast. We asked at reception and we were told it was ok. Feel that there should have been a member of staff outside advising guests it was ok to return or announcement made. These things happen but how the guests are informed could be improved.

Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location a short walk from the central station. Check out at 12. Bright rooms.
Lack of places to get a drink nearby and no vending machines on site. Breakfast options are limited.
