I have already paid the hotel; why has the amount been charged a second time by Booking.com?

Good
Location was perfect, the staff were super friendly and very lovely. The room was spacious and comfortable. Very lovely hotel.
Just a few small thing, it wouldn't put me off coming to stay again, however the breakfast wasn't as I expected, especially from reading all the reviews. The hot food wasn't warm enough, soon as we took it to the table the beans were cold. As a vegetarian I feel bit more comfortable when food is labelled. Staff were lovely and polite but wasn't easy to get there attention as they seemed busy.
Also they had construction work going on outside the hotel and inside, this meant we were not able to get hot drinks in the bar area when we came back early on one of our days to enjoy the hotel facilities and it was noisy at times.

Fair
Location was reasonably good and the breakfast was decent but not great.
Arrived at 330pm and had to wait an hour as our room wasn't ready. Staff were not very attentive or helpful. The room was sparsely furnished and lacking. The walls and floor were grubby and the vanity drain was blocked. The room was only made up on one out of the four days we were there and only because we asked. Paid extra for a high floor and was given a room two thirds of the way up the building.I've staying in much better 3 star hotels than this place. Well overpriced and not good value at all.

Disappointing
Walk distance to most of the locals that we wanted to see
THE INTERNET WAS TERRIBLE. Neither my own internet was not working inside the room. The breakfast room was under construction. Was very bad noise during our breakfast. We paid almost €400 per night thinking that the hotel would be very good

Poor
Hotel staff are very gentle
Room furnature is old and dirty. Hotel elevators are not enough and very slow. Hotel was far from city center.hotel room rate was very high compare to its facility. Dont look at the photo of the hotel. The hotel might look new but furnature is old amd dirty. Airconditioing is very bad and hot in summer

Very Good
The design of the hotel and our room was modern, functional, and comfortable. The shower, with its hot water, was quite delightful. Our room was cleaned every day. The staff were young, polite, and attentive. Overall, it was a relaxing, quiet, and comfortable stay.
The pillows in the room were quite high and not very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious; however, there was renovation work—including the sound of a drill—taking place right next to the breakfast area, which was rather disruptive. I’m not sure if it was necessary to schedule this for the morning hours.
