It was nice to be close to wonderful bakeries and the boats. The walking distance to main attractions in Amsterdam was none too far.

The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk from most attractions and the train station. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, very abundant and with options for all tastes, both sweet and savory.
The rooms and bathroom show their age and could use some renovation. I was on the third floor and wanted to use the stairs instead of the elevator, but I couldn’t figure out how to go down since each floor is laid out differently and there isn’t a single unified staircase system; this made me think that in case of a building evacuation during a fire alarm, there could be a big problem getting out

Thin walls, we could hear when our neighbours arrived or left or other noises. But they gave us feee earbuds.

The location is ideal right near Madame Taussauds in central Amsterdam and you can easily walk to alnost anywhere.
We were lucky with this last minute booking.
The staff were really great and the breakfast was very good
The only thing we could find not quite as good as it could be was the triple room that we had to go through the garage area to get to and which was very noisy at night but we completely understand that booking about an hour before arrival meant that we could only get a room that wasn't already booked and the other 2 double rooms we had were great

Hotel location was excellent, the room was clean with nice view and with good heating (during the winter period) with hot water available all the time which are both very important, especially during winter.
Both the bathroom and the room could have been more modern and the breakfast could have included a better variety.
