The hotel is very centric and easy to reach. It is generally also an affordable option compared to other options nearby.
The system used to access the rooms is a fairly old punchcard which honestly seems very easy to me to copy.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Although direct in heart of the busy Dam area, secure to stay. Good that smoking wasn't allowed in the hotel.
Big lobby area you can use.
The receptionists were always ready to answer questions, eager to assist and were very kind.
Beds were not comfortable especially one of them had broken springs probably. Rooms are not well equipped, like extra trash can to throw away papers and garbage only one in the big bathroom.Dressing area is limited to hang your belongings. Large bath with an old style bath tub. Nobody come to clean the room or take trash after two nights.No kettle to have a hot drink or any kind of complementary drinks in the room or in the lobby area.Not even a bottle of water to grab on your way. There was a machiene where you could get a cup of hot water charging you 0,50 ₺€ so that people staying would not choose to use it a lot that was explained to us so that people will not leave the lobby area dirty with unfinished drink cups.

I guess you would call this a budget hotel with no frills and the decor seeming to be a bit dated. However, the reception staff were very friendly, the room was plenty big enough, the cleaning staff very efficient, the shower hot and powerful and a good selection for breakfast, so all in all, everything you would want. What adds the cherry on the cake, is the location, which is just about perfect for visiting the city.
The bedroom was often too warm and quite difficult to control the temperature.

The 2 rooms were perfect for our family, though not having doors limited some of the privacy. The included continental breakfast was amazing and definitely a highlight of the accommodation!
Also really appreciated the accommodation having a lift as we had 2 large suitcases and multiple backpacks / bags with us. I know a lot of accommodations in Amsterdam do not have lifts available and we did not want to lift our cases up flights of stairs.
The street alongside the hotel had several loud people shouting through the night, and trucks rolling up loading / offloading stuff, all which impacted sleep due to the noise. The local areas also had a strong marijuana smell, which was not idea for our family - however, this is more an oversight of us booking this accommodation in it's location, rather than something a little further out of Amsterdam. I think this would be a perfect accommodation if you were wanting to partake in this or the RLD due to it's location, but perhaps less perfect for a family vacation.

Excellent location, clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, great value for money.
Bathroom shower design allowed too much water to spill into rest of the bathroom making it slippery and a pain to clean up with towel everyday.

We were visiting during the winter, therefore the location was important so we will be close to the center.
The room got very warm very fast which was good due to the cold weather.
Its giving the vibe a bit of a motel (a bit shady)

The room was big. The design in it was cosy. It was beautiful and comfortable.
The bed was very nice and comfy.
I liked the small table and chair, it gave me an option to sit and eat in my room.
The staff were very inviting.
I had trouble with the shower.
The water was either very hot or very cold. It wasn't clear which way to turn the water.
Sometimes, all of a sudden, the water turned out really hot (to the point of a burn) or really cold.
I wish they had a better shower system.

Ive been here twice and it’s a good hotel, friendly staff, amazing location since its pretty much in the center and its affordable. Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities so when I return I will definitely go back to this hotel.
When I booked my single bed room i didn’t realize it was maby a bit small, but I went down and upgraded which was pretty cheap and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
