Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater. All of the rooms at Rho Hotel include satellite TV and a refrigerator. They also each have a private bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room which overlooks Dam Square. It includes a selection of bread, cereals and a few warm dishes including scrambled eggs. There is a small bar and vending machines in the lobby for snacks and drinks such as coffee. Hotel Rho is 175 yards from the Kalverstraat shopping area and from the Dam Square tram stop. The Anne Frank House and Rembrandt House Museum are both within a 10-minute walk of the hotel.

Excellent central location, just a few minutes walk from Central Rail station and many other sites. Quick check in and staff always pleasant and polite. Very comfortable and quiet room, and at a good price.

The is way overdue for renovation. The furniture in the lobby were extremely worn out. The staff were rude sometimes.

Breakfast buffet was really nice. Location perfect. The hotel is a little basic, but there are some good reception facilities offering coffee and beer. The beds were comfy and the hotel warm. Luggage locker was excellent and the staff were super friendly.
The decor was a little dated. The price reflects the location.

I really liked the hotel’s location: the side street just off Dam Square is easy to find and very convenient. The hotel has a charming historic atmosphere, while the rooms are comfortable and modern. The Wi‑Fi worked well, and the bathroom was large and spotlessly clean. The windows of my room faced the inner courtyard, which might seem like a drawback, but in the center of Amsterdam it is actually a big plus, as there was no noise from traffic or late‑night tourists.
The room itself was a bit dark, as there was no main overhead light. The water pressure in the bathroom was quite weak. I was also not very satisfied with the breakfast: there were very few vegetables and salads, and no fresh fruit at all.

The location is ideal for walking to most attractions and sites.
Although it is an historic property it does need some attention. The carpets are worn and tattered. The lighting is dim in the rooms despite all fixtures being lit. Better insulation between rooms is also recommended. Beds are very hard and not very comfortable. I love the fact that it was an old theatre converted to a hotel. The lobby is very unique. All said. It just needs a bit of paint, new carpet, better lighting would go a long way.

The location was perfect. Extremly close to downtown and all the canals. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection. Beer in the vending machines. Would stay again.
The only complaint my wife had was about the outlet in the bathroom. It is older, flat outlet, her straigjtner would not work and there was no outlet near a mirror.

Smoking weed in rooms are not ok. Also all floors are corridoor floors are not clean.
