Rho is on the edge of Dam Square, half a mile from Amsterdam Central Train Station. It has free Wi-Fi and the lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theater. All of the rooms at Rho Hotel include satellite TV and a refrigerator. They also each have a private bathroom with a shower. Breakfast is served each morning in the dining room which overlooks Dam Square. It includes a selection of bread, cereals and a few warm dishes including scrambled eggs. There is a small bar and vending machines in the lobby for snacks and drinks such as coffee. Hotel Rho is 175 yards from the Kalverstraat shopping area and from the Dam Square tram stop. The Anne Frank House and Rembrandt House Museum are both within a 10-minute walk of the hotel.

Very central, decent breakfast
Very thin walls- I could hear the room next to me very clearly through my bathroom. Heard a lady cocking and hacking for quite some time while I’m getting ready for the day. Lovely. Staff was extremely rude on multiple occasions, especially during checkout when I paid extra (without a problem) for a late checkout. They called my room four times during this extended checkout hour and were unbelievable rude, asking when and if I was ever going to leave. Won’t be staying here again solely due to lack of hospitality during ADE week, a very international music conference.

Staff were friendly, lobby is nice, breakfast was very good.
Bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a brick. Couldn’t get a good night sleep our entire stay, so was exhausted every day.

I have been in the hotel 15 years ago and I had the impression that it is still the same. It was clean and quite, regardless the proximity to the noisy location of Amsterdam Dam. Nice for commuting. Will visit again.
An update of the infrastructure, showers, taps, etc might be considered.

This was our second time to the Rho Hotel because of the rooms, ( both times our room was very nice) the staff is so friendly, the breakfast room has a beautiful presentation with a nice variety and a view out the window. The beds are comfortable! The hotel is in a perfect location to walk everywhere. We will be back again!

The location was great - very close to city centre. Breakfast was very good. Bathroom could have had a few more free amenities. We stayed because of flight disruption and had very limited luggage and toiletries so we would have appreciated a few more supplies in the bathroom. I would recommend this hotel and staff friendly and helpful.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of food. The staff kept the trays filled. The hotel was in and excellent location. You were able to walk to all the main attractions. The beds were a little low to the ground but we were there only 2 nights so it wasn't that bad.
The low beds as well as they only offered basic bathroom amenities. No wash cloth. A very small soap bar.
