Sign saying you couldn’t carry purchased coffee back to your room. Complicated route to use stairs instead of elevator.

The hotel is located right in the Dam square, the heart of Amsterdam, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. The price was also reasonable, especially considering such a central location.
There was no hot water available for making tea or coffee, and I also noticed a lack of staff presence. These were the main reasons I didn’t give the hotel a perfect score.

Very basic and quite old condition but Amsterdam is a city that you get out and about in so you are just resting your head , staff are brilliant and very helpful breakfast is simple good but honset and staff great again and clean

Excellent location, with many places within walking distance.
Friendly and accommodating staff who allowed us to check in early and arranged an earlier breakfast on marathon day.
Decent breakfast.
Poor value for money, considering the price of around €250 per night.
Small, run-down room under the roof, with sloping ceilings.
Very poor soundproofing, with noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms. The fact that earplugs were provided says it all!
Broken Velux blind and a bedside lamp that barely worked.
No coffee or tea-making facilities and no complimentary bottle of water.

The location was the best part of the stay, and I liked it a lot.
The main problem was mold. There were black patches on the wall by the windows, as well as in the bathroom.

The best hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. Top-notch service at the reception, attentive staff, good breakfast, cleanliness, and comfort. It would be desirable to pay a bit more attention to replacing toiletries. Overall, it is an excellent place for a great and comfortable stay for the whole family. I would definitely recommend it and will certainly visit this hotel again with my family.

The location. Very easy to access from Central Station
The building and interior are quite old . The furniture and general environment could be renovated.
The walls, floors and ceilings are thin, so you can listen to the steps of your neighbors

Central to everything, cleanliness, friendly.
Bacon for breakfast was gorgeous, nice and crispy.
The bar didn’t seem to be open.
Could do with doing proper sausages for breakfast and not just hotdog sausages.

Location. Right in the heart of the city, we walked everywhere. The room was basic, clean and really quiet with a window that opened! There’s a nice breakfast offered and the lobby is beautiful, we would definitely stay here again
