Within the Red Light district, close walking distance to everything you need, as well as attractions (about 30 mins walk from Museumplein) but not as noisy or frenetic as deeper into the district. Felt very safe. The apartment is spacious, beds comfortable, big windows that open. The apartment is well equipped, and the host is generous with extension cords! Much appreciated. Good shower pressure and 2 toilets available. Also 2 fridges, 1 with small freezer. Plenty of space to sit and chat in the canal-facing front room.
Odd layout - almost like 2 apartment spaces joined together. Lovely front room, 2 kitchen “spaces”, pointless sitting room in between, 3 bedrooms - but one is clearly the anteroom to the main bedroom, so you have to walk through it to/from toilet at night.
Very warm in main bedrooms. There is an AC unit but it is in the centre of the apartment and really only cools the (not used) sitting room it’s in. To be fair, fans are readily available and windows open, but the layout makes air flow challenging.

Not seem to be shower towels , they were stored out of sight and had to ask. Located towels were initially very smelly. No hand towels available. Shower also smelled initially.

An amazing apartment in an amazing location. The huge double windows that open up and look over the canal is a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy a ''coffee'' ;) Being able to relax in your own private space and yet feel included in the outside world was priceless. Yacob was a great host. Great with comunication and very generous. We arrived on Kings Day and Yacob was celebrating with his friends downstairs, BBQing on the street - insisting we join him for food. This spot is expensive, but you do get what you pay for. The apartment is well secured and despite being in the heart of the Red Light District - is relatively quiet. 100% recommend.
There was construction upstairs in the building on the Monday morning (The host was involved) that should have been rearranged considering how much we had paid to stay in the property. Removing tiles with power tools at 08:00 and then throwing the tiles into a metal skip on the street below - knowing you had guests, was a little inconsiderate.

Very spacious rooms; my bedroom was gigantic, maybe 25m2 with a very large comfortable bed and bedding, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, large windows, very quiet inside for such a busy area, nice open views of the canal, located right in the medieval center, next to some really good restaurants, shopping, everything you wish for plus a super nice host, available, reactive, helpful and kind.

Simply amazing! The host Jacob is really nice and makes sure you have great time. House is large and on a really nice spot in Amsterdam. Would really recommend to everyone that wants to stay in a chique house on a great spot.

Yacob was the quintessential host. The location and front sitting room was lovely. Beds were clean and comfy.
It would have been nice to have a small microwave, but that’s being nit picky. It would have been helpful to have a wardrobe to hang our clothes in the master bedroom.

Excellent host who offers his time up anytime.
The only issue for me personally was the shower wasn’t powerful enough but that can easily be amended. The prime qualities are the location,the apartment has everything you could possibly need & the host.

The hospitality of homeowner Yacob was wonderful, he helped us in every subject. The location of home was great. We want to rent this house absolutely when we go to Amsterdam again. The house was comfortable and had everyhing that we need such as umberalla, coffe, tea...
Everthing was O.K. There is no negative thing for house and houseowner.

You couldn't pick a better location! bang in the middle of everything you need! The beds were super comfy, and the host couldn’t do enough for us. Everything about our stay was amazing. Highly recommend!
