The reception staff were lovely and the location was great, everywhere is accessible and it is only around a 20 min walk into main center. There is great local bars and restaurants nearby which are pretty affordable.
The of the only things i could say is the lift is very creaky, both me and my partner were very weary of using it. Another issue was upon leaving our bags in the hold area a wallet was missing from our things containing around £400 - i am aware that we should have kept this on person but my partner felt it would be safe with the rest of his belongings since it was in a secure and locked room. The wallet was never found and we were never updated on the situation by the hotel staff which would have been appreciated.

I loved the staff so much Gina and the team made us all feel very welcome and they are down to earth people who look after the guests who stay with them.
Honestly no bad word to say but thank you for making my 30th birthday even more special.
The stairs going up after a long day lol
Apart from that nothing they gave me a free upgrade aswell on arrival and let us put luggage storage when we missed our train on leaving day.

Room dirty and was not cleaned while we were there. Sheets not changed. Lift broke down. Smell of seeage in shower room.

Good location- walking distance to everything we wanted. Lovely staff. Clean & spacious room.
The only thing which is probably universal for Amsterdam- getting our suitcases up the steep stairs (we were top floor!) but other than that it was great

The staff were helpful and friendly but this is the second year running when the hotel has not provided us with a canal view even though I explained we were visiting for my birthday and our wedding anniversary.
Coffee and continental breakfast was great.
Location is great if you are familiar with the area
The room this year and last had a view of a damp and tingy courtyard
The shower was not clean either. Often sleep was disturbed by lifts going up and down in hours between 100 and 6.00am.
I had hoped given the email response from the hotel that we would have had a canal view room very dissatisfied

Wonderful
Everything. Had a great room, lovely bed and bathroom. Great view from 4th floor. Clean.
Only downside was the television. After a day out it would have been lovely to chill with decent TV.
They only had French & German channels, 1 BBC channel.
No Dutch or other International channels which usually have English programs and a good choice of films and programs.

location is perfect in centre of Amsterdam. Still quiet room from outside noices. I slept with window open. Bit noisy from inside noices

Great location & very friendly helpful staff! View overlooking the canal & great radiators! What more do you need for a few days in Amsterdam in the cold!
Steep steps, no lift! Breakfast was OK, small reception area where breakfast is served, no lounging area.
