Exceptional
I loved my room -- very high tech and comfortable. The shower was excellent. I liked the location though some might not. It's in a quiet residential area. 6 metro stops from Centraal Station. There are 2 excellent restaurants withing waling distance.
Amsterdam can be quite busy and chaotic so it was nice to be in a quieter part of town yet within minutes of downtow,
I did not try the breakfast buffet so I can't judge it, but it did look good.

Remote controlled shutters and lights
I was a few minutes late for checkout and the shutters and lights automatically shut down leaving me in the dark. I had to go down and request 20 minutes grace for checkout at which point the unopened the shutters. A bit aggressive ?♂️

Cold water available in the lobby. Celeste is an excellent employee. Others not so much.
The booking stated air conditioning. There was none. The first room was HOT. We were moved to another hot room and given 2 fans. Hair left in the shower.

The service was wonderful, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful
The only minor issue was that my Aircon was non-functional. This was mainly an issue the last few nights of my stay because the temperature became much warmer and it was quite warm in the room. The thermostat read 18⁰c but it was definitely much warmer

We like the location close to the metro
The staff has poor communication skills to each other. We asked not to put the comforter on the bed because it’s too hot and no air conditioning. We asked for a top sheet. Well they would do it for a night or two and we would have to ask again and again. Several days we would come back to our room at about 4:00 in the afternoon and our room was not cleaned and we would have to leave the room. No phone in the rooms to call the desk to ask for help

Modern Comfort ...loved the blockout blinds
a sink in the kitchenette/coffee area would have been great to rinse cups etc. Coffee sachets etc were not always replenished and we were there for a 10 day stay...would have been nice to get a top up each day

Very Good
The room was well laid out, and the shower was amazing. It was a nice bonus that there was a Bluetooth speaker and a mini fridge in the room. The shampoo and body wash also smell great, More than enough space for all suitcases.
I can't say there was much we didn't like about the hotel, but I would have liked to have more than two pillows in the room. And one thing that was slightly annoying was how the elevator button was set up.

The bar kitchen closed way before the bar does and limited privacy for showering in the mate room, but that seems to be common in Amsterdam.
