Delicious breakfast. Comfortable room. Bicycles available for rent by the hotel. Staff extremely helpful. Nice area in the Oud Zud area of AMS, plenty of nice restaurants and outside tourist region. Very close to the Vondel Park, where I had the opportunity to visit by bike ride.
Prior to my reservation I visited the hotel and Gustavo, from the reception of Park Plaza Hotel offered me a special deal, but he never answered me. Gustavo told me that there was a room facing Vondel Park, which is not true. I booked via Booking.com a special room with view to the garden. With the window opened the room is not quiet, as there are cars going by the back street.

The area and the room were beautiful and breakfast was varied offering soy yogurt in addition to the standard breakfast items. The staff was helpful and offered me a new room when the first one was really loud during the night.
There is no sound proofing so you can hear everything from the street, hallway and next door. My first night was on the first floor and the street noise was surprisingly loud and constant. I could hear people coming and going in the hallway too. The staff was helpful and gave me another room for the remainder of my stay. During my last night there was a very noisy party in the next hotel room but thankfully the reception was again very helpful. I was surprised of these noise issues as I chose this hotel specifically for the promise of a calmer location, based on reviews.

I asked for a quiet room and that was provided. The hotel is in a lovely location and a few minutes walk from Vondelpark. The staff we met were very helpful and polite. All in all, a great stay.
I tried to call the hotel from the uk but they couldn’t hear me and put the phone down.
