I wanted to treat myself to a nice hotel for an overnight stay not in the noisy parts of town, and also not overspend. I'm so happy I went with my gut and trusted the photos to pick Park Plaza Vondelpark for my short stay!
Whoever did the interior design and equipped the rooms deserves a raise. Somehow the hotel provided the utmost functionality hiding in plain sight, as you focus on the charming décor instead. Many ideas add to the comfort, I loved the central panel to regulate lights and electronic curtains! I also found the bathroom door mirrored on both sides a really clever idea. The shower was very roomy, and the soaps and shampoos had the most addictive fresh scent. I also loved the carpet and wall colors, the subtle bird motifs and the tableware design for coffee and tea. Somehow this all was just the right amount of character and style and really came together. The room had a portable luggage stand tuck away in the closet, which was also quite clever to save space if you would not need it, but take out with ease if you would.
They thought about you being on the move as well: public transport is close to take you to Amsterdam Centraal, and you can conveniently borrow an umbrella for 48 hrs for free.
If I want to be picky, breakfast was ok, but Italian style espresso would have elevated it.

The location is great: not in the middle of the noisy and crowded center but very close to Vondelpark and reasonably close to Museumplein. The lobby and the bar are cosy and welcoming. The hotel is very clean.
We booked a “King Studio,” but it was neither king nor studio. The layout was poorly designed the bed, was so close to the wall (about 30 cm) that it was hard to pass, and a closet was awkwardly placed behind a door, blocking access to part of the room. There was no luggage rack and hardly any space, even for small suitcases. Storage was minimal with cramped closets and almost no shelving. When we asked to change rooms, staff insisted it was a "king studio" that we already had one of the largest, but after two days of insisting we were finally moved to a lower-floor room that was larger and much more comfortable . Breakfast was underwhelming; several nearby cafés offered fresher, better options. Overall, it felt more like a 3-star experience than a 4-star one.

Location to Vondelpark, and walking distance to many places is convenient. The breakfast is good, and the employees are very nice.
The design of the bedroom is not ideal. No privacy in the bathroom, you can see through the “walls” next to the toilet, and in the shower. Also, when bathroom door is open, the toilet is basically right next to the bed, which is just kinda gross. Shower does not have a proper lip to prevent the water running out and even in to the main bedroom area.

Breakfast was good. The room was big. It was very clean.
There was a heavy summer and we got into the room. We had to leave the windows open to let smell out of room. The bed was not comfortable so I had a backache.

The hotel is quite close to a tram line and very easy to reach from Centraal Station. The beds are comfortable and the coffee machine in the room was great. The shower is fantastic. The staff are friendly and helpful.
It was a very expensive hotel, but that reflects the area where it is located. I was travelling with an elderly relative and so I needed somewhere which was going to be reliably comfortable, but you do have to pay for that.

The hotel is located in a very pretty neighborhood.
It’s quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of Central Station. It is very clean and housekeeping very attentive.
It is a few blocks to the #2 bus that takes you to all of the museums , tourist spots, etc
I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Amsterdam.
I liked it all. Glad it had a nice restaurant on the premises for a full breakfast and Italian style dinner. The food was very good and the staff were professional.

The location is fantastic.
Breakfasts are very good.
The AC operation. It dries out the air.
There is no towel heater in the bathroom, even though there is enough space for a small one over the loo.
The cleaning service is strange.
It is better to arrange lights off system not only over the room, but inside the wardrobe as well.
