Close proximity to everything in downtown Amsterdam. They stored our luggage after an early arrival so we could begin exploring the city before our room was ready without carrying around our luggage. Extremely simple access from Schiphol. One train, no transfers four or five stops.
The cleanliness was really disappointing!! To be fair, we didn’t tell the front desk, so they had no opportunity to correct it. There were long dark hairs in the bathroom sink, on the bathroom floor and in the shower. My wife has long yellow blond hair and I’m bald, so we know they were not ours. Based on prior reviews and the fact they advertise themselves as higher end, this was extremely disappointing!!

The room turnovers were poor. They only made the beds (badly) and didn’t clear the cups and dishes away or vacuum the floor or clear the sinks

I think if you like touristy stuff this hotel is for you. Close proximity to shops and central train station. The concierge was wonderful and helped a lot.
The fact that it was too touristy and area was too crowded, overwhelming. I also expected the canal view room to be more beautiful than actual but was underwhelming.

The property is in a very central location to all the attractions from canal boat tours, shopping, Nemo Science museum and so much more. The property has restaurants below on the property and as you walk out there are many cafes and restaurants everywhere. The property sits right across Central Station which was a huge plus. Convince for short stay this hotel is ok stay in but the cost is something I cannot justify.
Property is looking a bit dated with furniture in the room not kept well. Our room 459 had dust everywhere on the furniture. The sink in the bathroom would not drain properly. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were terrible. The incredible amount of noise from the hallway, people slamming doors and kids running in the hallway made our stay very unpleasant given the amount of money that is being charged for the hotel.

Close location to central train station.
Lack of staff. Customer service desk had no one at it. Lack of porters and concierge desk usually had no one there. I’m almost 80 years old and had to carry my heavy luggage up the flight of stairs to the lobby because nobody was available to assist me.
When I checked out there was no one to assist me down the stairs to leave. I was told a porter would be there soon but I waited and no one appeared. A very kind woman with Viking Cruises volunteered to help me.
