Lovely building inside and out. Comfortable rooms and great location. Our teenage boys thought it was awesome.

The room was great, the location was great also and a fantastic breakfast. The staff were so kind to me and my partner and the day i arrived i got an upgrade to free breakfast whcih was really kind.
The only think i didn't like was where my room was located there were lots of kids constantly running up and down the hall past my room. This is outside of the hotels control but it was difficult to sleep some nights

Disappointing
The hotel is at a very central location just right accross the central train station. Breakfast is good. The room was good as well, enough space and silent.
The receptionists are not professional. We have arrived close to 3 pm and there was only 1 receptionist available. The check-in was therefore extremely slow. Our room cards did not work on the 3rd and 4th days of our stay. The lady who did our check-in who was suppose to fix the issue on the 3rd day could not fix it for a long time and asked weird questions like whether we smoked in the room (we do not smoke and we had our 3 year old son with us). She could not resolve the issue and passed us to another colleague of hers who again could not fix the room cards, then the initial lady did it somehow, but the next evening when we were going to our room to put our child into sleep we had the same issue. So seems like the lady who checked us in only validated our cards for 24 hours while we were staying 5 night. It was really annoying to drop by the reception to fix our cards while we were expecting to go into our room. The attitude of the lady who checked us in and kept asking strange questions while "fixing" our card issue was really disappointing and annoying. I would not consider to stay in this hotel because of the repetitive room card issue we had and the non-professionalism of the receptionists in resolving the issues they cause themselves.

Location
Hotel entrance is beautiful, rooms are disappointing . Room hygiene needs much improvement . Dust on surfaces which had not been cleaned for a significant amount of time.
Arrived at 3pm for check in to be informed that only one out of two rooms were ready even though check in is at 3pm . Waited until 3.45pm after returning to check in desk twice .
Rooms are dated and unfortunately was not worth the price we payed. At over £300 per room I expected better.
Advise not to get a river view room as the noise was not the best .
Unfortunately I would not recommend or return.
