Wonderful
Lovely staff, great location, clean room. The shower was nice with both a rain shower and a detachable shower head. The location is perfectly walkable for many restaurants, shops, coffeeshops, and is right across the street from a canal. It's also very near to a tram and bus station, making it convenient to get to/from central station or the airport. While we did not use the lounge, it looked very nice and there were plenty of seating choices.
The mattress was very firm which was a bit uncomfortable for me. Housekeeping came into our room while we were sleeping in on the day after we checked in—you have to opt-out of cleaning each day that you don't want housekeeping. I wished I could have opted out for my whole stay (or certain dates) instead of having to do it again every day of our stay. We could hear the tram bells at night through our closed window. Didn't bother me, but including this in case anyone considering booking with this hotel is sensitive to outside noise.

Location and friendly staff
Despite paying for a premium stay my experience was horrible. The hotel looked very nice in social media platforms but i got shocked when i checked in. To start, getting to the floor your room is in is a nightmare the elevator doesn’t sound right and shacked randomly in multiple occasions; also it is extremely slow. Next is the heating radiator; for the first 2 days the room was freezing and the radiator was not working properly, the staff had to bring me a portable heater. Third is the lighting; the room felt like a cave with no ceiling lights, they had cheap looking-glaring light stands which caused me migraines. The room also missed any kind of hotel decoration.. the room decoration doesn’t reflect the luxury in the lobby. And what frustrated me the most was the bad internet. During my stay i had to call the reception every night to check the internet; it was very unstable. Lastly the bathroom; shower side dish had black stains on the nozzels; the trash was slipping pressing down to open the lid was not working.. i ended up leaving trash on top; also the ventilation was not that great .. the bathroom always smelled after i used it for hours. Its proximity to the museums and sites we wanted to seep
We were initially put on the fourth floor, and after signing the register learned that the elevator wasn’t working and we had to walk up four floors. Given our age (78 and 83) it was too strenuous for us. After we complained the next day, they did give us a ground floor room that was in a quiet area.

Did not care for the bath/toilet arrangement. And PLEASE consider putting blankets on the bed instead of a comforter/duvet. If you are a person who becomes hot at night, you don’t really have a way to make yourself comfortable. Without the duvet, you’re cold, and with it, you’re hot. Give your customers blankets so they can find their comfort level.

The “Deluxe Room” was quite basic and smaller than expected. The pictures are somewhat misleading. There was too little storage space for two pepole. Despite all the photos showing balconies for this room type, ours had none. The TV was practically useless, as it didn’t support streaming and had few channels. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow (even watching Youtube was impractical!), and there were no power sockets on one side of the bed. When we asked for a power adapter, we were told it costs €20 — a rather stingy policy, considering most hotels would simply let guests borrow one. We bought one on the street for 5 euros.

Very Good
The location is perfect for site seeing, museums and restaurants. It's next to a canal tour booking kiosk, there are excellent restaurants with 10 minute walk. The Rijksmuseum is a 7 minutes walk, Van Gogh miseum another 5 minutes. The staff are friendly, well trained and eager to please. Our was fair sized and clean.
The decor is a bit dated ( black tiles in washrooms?). The hallway on our flour had an unpleasant odour, couldn't place it but fortunately it never entered our room.
