Location was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Two types of pillows, firm and soft. Bathroom had a door that fully closed (not a barn door). Shower had great water pressure. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Shower leaked slightly if door wasn’t closed properly.

The location was incredible! Close to everything and very accessible.
The AC was not working in our family suite and despite repeated complaints nothing was done. Also the TV did not have the option for casting which was pretty strange in this time and age. Also water bottles were refilled each day only after asking.

The room I booked was not at all to our liking. It was a 2-level room that was totally uncomfortable and Very very noisy.. We asked to be moved to another room. Front desk showed us another room that was quiet and we moved. That was good. Depressing that that’s the most memorable “likeable” memory.
We stayed 3 nights. First one was check-in..we arrived early and had to wait several hours to get in..ok, that’s to be expected. Hated the expensive 2-level room we had booked, so moved to another room. Next day was fine. Day 3, the room, when we returned at 3 PM , still hadn’t been cleaned. Tried to call front desk. Phone didn’t work. Went down to front desk. Advised them of the situation. Went back up at 4. Room still not ready. Got in at 4:30. Phone was never fixed.

We were very pleased with the hotel’s comfort. Our deluxe room on the fourth floor, located in the modern wing and facing the street, was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable compared to those in other hotels. Many attractions within walking distance.

After spending five nights here in early April 2026, it became very clear why this property remains consistently popular with visitors who want to experience Amsterdam properly without relying too heavily on transport. The hotel sits right beside Vondelpark and only a short walk from Leidseplein, which immediately places you in one of the best areas of the city for restaurants, bars, nightlife and general atmosphere. For a first-time visitor especially, it is difficult to overstate how convenient the location really is.
The twin room felt somewhat smaller than it appeared in promotional photos online, and the beds were positioned closer together than expected - a lot closer than the pictures on Booking.com indicated.

To increase the number of rooms, the room sizes were reduced. We stayed as two people, and it was nearly impossible to fit two suitcases in these rooms. You cannot walk around without bumping into each other, and the rooms have lost all sense of comfort. The room cleaning service was terrible. The carpet in the room was dirty, there were no slippers, and while there were towels in the bathroom, there was no bathrobe—you have to specifically request these items. I don’t understand how a hotel room can lack basic slippers. They seem to have cut corners on everything under the guise of sustainability. The internet service they offer is extremely slow and constantly cuts out. It was incredibly slow and didn’t even work in certain parts of that tiny room. There is no room service in the hotel. The reception is a disaster—they don’t answer the phone, and you have to ring multiple times. When someone finally picks up, they are extremely rude. The coffee machine in the room was very old. I wanted to have coffee at 10:30 PM, but I couldn’t get any. When I called the reception, they said there was no service to the room. When I asked for milk for my coffee, they sent something resembling powdered milk. There wasn’t even milk for coffee in the entire hotel. The hotel is run entirely by an amateur, indifferent, and incompetent team. On previous trips, I stayed at NH Hotel, and then I stayed at this hotel once or twice and was very satisfied. After that, I always chose this hotel for my trips. However, after the hotel changed ownership, it no longer resembles its former self. For people who care about reviews, my advice is to choose another hotel; this hotel is truly not worth the price.

The hotel was great!!! We have 3 kids and they were able to accommodate our request for 2 rooms next to each other. The hotel was very modern and clean and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We opted for the breakfast option and it surpassed our expectations. We just wish the coffee portions were larger :) Our kids really loved playing pool in the lobby after a day running around the city. The location was perfect for us - easy to walk almost anywhere. We would 100% come back to this hotel.
The only negative was not being able to check in early.

Location is a bit noisy being on a major traffic street, which also makes it a bit annoying to walk into the city, having to wait at a major intersection
