They put us in a very cold room. We tried to reach staff, they were non responsive. We checked-in and went out the hotel, they said they will fix it. After 5 hours we come back to the hotel. They did not do anything and responsed in a tempered attitude which is not acceptible. They refused to change the room first. When they observed they couldnt fix the temperatuee in the room, finally in the evening they changed our room. Very bad hospitality.

The room location was fine. We liked being close to restaurants and canal boat rides and the museums. The staff were very nice. We loved the welcome drink and the option to receive a free drink for skipping maid service. The room was updated. Hot water in bathroom was great.
The mattress was a bit too firm and the room lacked space to have suitcase holders. The room was a bit smaller than we are use to, it would have been better to have space for your suitcases to opened and have access to your items. No fan in the bathroom so it was rather steamy and air conditioner did not cool the room down well. Breakfast was included, however it lacked gluten free options.

A beautiful room that overlooked the canals, it was quiet, clean and extremely comfortable. The king bed was superb, mini bar and iron in room was appreicated. Well designed bathroom with great shower.
Small balcony but the door to it would not open, this may have been on purpose for security reasons, but I was not informed

The good location and unique atmosphere of the hotel.
The beds weren't very comfortable but that seems common in Europe. We stayed in a suite which was pretty pricy - not worth the expense

The location was incredible! The lobby was gorgeous and the bar that was there was a wonderful place to sit around. The hotel room was decorated nicely.
There was an awful smell in our room that remained for our entire stay. We booked the hotel specifically because it had a gym, and it was unfortunately out of commission most of our trip. The gym also smelled very bad.

Amazing location close to all hot spots in Amsterdam
We took the standard room, i didn’t like how the bathroom was not separated from the bedroom and there was no door.
Bed was comfortable.
Otherwise the hotel was nice and staff are friendly.

Location was excellent. Room was very comfortable. Two types of pillows, firm and soft. Bathroom had a door that fully closed (not a barn door). Shower had great water pressure. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Shower leaked slightly if door wasn’t closed properly.

The location was incredible! Close to everything and very accessible.
The AC was not working in our family suite and despite repeated complaints nothing was done. Also the TV did not have the option for casting which was pretty strange in this time and age. Also water bottles were refilled each day only after asking.

The room I booked was not at all to our liking. It was a 2-level room that was totally uncomfortable and Very very noisy.. We asked to be moved to another room. Front desk showed us another room that was quiet and we moved. That was good. Depressing that that’s the most memorable “likeable” memory.
We stayed 3 nights. First one was check-in..we arrived early and had to wait several hours to get in..ok, that’s to be expected. Hated the expensive 2-level room we had booked, so moved to another room. Next day was fine. Day 3, the room, when we returned at 3 PM , still hadn’t been cleaned. Tried to call front desk. Phone didn’t work. Went down to front desk. Advised them of the situation. Went back up at 4. Room still not ready. Got in at 4:30. Phone was never fixed.

We were very pleased with the hotel’s comfort. Our deluxe room on the fourth floor, located in the modern wing and facing the street, was excellent. The bed was especially comfortable compared to those in other hotels. Many attractions within walking distance.

After spending five nights here in early April 2026, it became very clear why this property remains consistently popular with visitors who want to experience Amsterdam properly without relying too heavily on transport. The hotel sits right beside Vondelpark and only a short walk from Leidseplein, which immediately places you in one of the best areas of the city for restaurants, bars, nightlife and general atmosphere. For a first-time visitor especially, it is difficult to overstate how convenient the location really is.
The twin room felt somewhat smaller than it appeared in promotional photos online, and the beds were positioned closer together than expected - a lot closer than the pictures on Booking.com indicated.
