Poor
Its proximity to the museums and sites we wanted to seep
We were initially put on the fourth floor, and after signing the register learned that the elevator wasn’t working and we had to walk up four floors. Given our age (78 and 83) it was too strenuous for us. After we complained the next day, they did give us a ground floor room that was in a quiet area.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Thank you for the magnifying mirror
Did not care for the bath/toilet arrangement. And PLEASE consider putting blankets on the bed instead of a comforter/duvet. If you are a person who becomes hot at night, you don’t really have a way to make yourself comfortable. Without the duvet, you’re cold, and with it, you’re hot. Give your customers blankets so they can find their comfort level.

Location
Comfortable bed and pillows
Staff at the reception was accommodating.
The “Deluxe Room” was quite basic and smaller than expected. The pictures are somewhat misleading.
There was too little storage space for two pepole.
Despite all the photos showing balconies for this room type, ours had none.
The TV was practically useless, as it didn’t support streaming and had few channels. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow (even watching Youtube was impractical!), and there were no power sockets on one side of the bed.
When we asked for a power adapter, we were told it costs €20 — a rather stingy policy, considering most hotels would simply let guests borrow one. We bought one on the street for 5 euros.

Disappointing
Location super central
Staff was very unfriendly. Both the front desk had attitude and the room/food staff need some lessons in service. One example, they took a full elevator and left the guests standing in the hall.

The location is perfect for site seeing, museums and restaurants. It's next to a canal tour booking kiosk, there are excellent restaurants with 10 minute walk. The Rijksmuseum is a 7 minutes walk, Van Gogh miseum another 5 minutes.
The staff are friendly, well trained and eager to please. Our was fair sized and clean.
The decor is a bit dated ( black tiles in washrooms?). The hallway on our flour had an unpleasant odour, couldn't place it but fortunately it never entered our room.

Hotel gym could have been nicer, but was adequate.

Very Poor
Great location and comfortable bed.
Our room was not cleaned properly and there was mold in the bathroom. The staff were very incompetent (or undertrained) and had passive aggressive attitude whenever I requested their assistance.

Nice, clean, modern hotel in a great location. Great staff as well. I liked the welcome drink and the spa level toiletries included in the shower.
My welcome drink champagne was a little scarce. Would've liked a more generous pour ?. It also would have been nice if the TVs had Netflix /youtube app or had the capability to screen share with my phone

Excellent location. We walked everywhere and the tram if needed is close. Variety of shops and restaurants close by. The canal cruise is across the street. Great local Indonesian restaurants down the street. Breakfast has made to order options and a good variety of buffet servings. The hotel is beautiful with a nice bar and lounge area. The room was lacking in comfort. The bathroom was nicely updates. Overall for a 4 star hotel at this price point I expected a better room.
The room was small. We were upgraded to a room in which the bathroom was a separate room, but still the room was uncomfortably small. We are accustomed to European hotels and this was by far the smallest. The bed was too short for my 6ft (183cm) husband. The room was as picture until you look at the opposite wall. All white no art or decor. Just painting the walls all the same blue would have helped and made me feel like I was in a cozy room instead of a sterile dormitory room.
