Park Centraal Amsterdam, part of Sircle Collection is set in the high-end district of Oud-Zuid right next to the Rijksmuseum, and 1640 feet from the Van Gogh museum and lively Leidse Square. The hotel is located in a wonderful area — right in the museum quarter, next to the main city park and with direct access to the city’s central streets. Truly the best location. I’m staying here for the 6th time already.
One downside is the rather large deposit (for a one-week stay it’s always around €500), even though there is no minibar in the room. It’s not quite clear why the deposit has to be that high

We have chosen to stay at this hotel most times we have visited Amsterdam as we have some great memories there, we love the location and have enjoyed the facilities in the past. The staff as always were super welcoming and friendly (a special thank you to the lovely blonde lady at reception - sorry I forgot her name). The gym is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever used and I love the amount of equipment.
As mentioned, we have stayed here multiple times for our milestone trips (birthdays and anniversary) which I had mentioned to the hotel prior to our visit. Unfortunately it has felt like every time we have visited the quality of room we are given has declined (even though we’ve booked this class of room before). Especially since the price was as expensive as always we just did not expect to have such a low quality room. Even the carpet on our floor was badly stained and just seemed old. This didn’t affect our stay but one thing after another made me feel like we wasted our money. Conveniently on our leaving day the lift was broken so we had to carry our cases down 3 flights of stairs. Another point was, I’m not sure if there was a sewage issue while we were there (nothing was mentioned) , but the lobby had a strong sewage smell the majority of our stay. Prior to visiting the only reason we upped our budget was to stay at the hotel we always had enjoyed before but unfortunately I think that was our last time staying there. As a returning customer I kind of expected better and am quite disappointed.

Great location and comfortable bed.
Our room was not cleaned properly and there was mold in the bathroom. The staff were very incompetent (or undertrained) and had passive aggressive attitude whenever I requested their assistance.

This hotel has a great location. Whether you want to go to the old town or Museum Square, it only takes a few minutes to walk. Breakfast is served at the adjacent Momo restaurant. While the menu is somewhat repetitive, the food is tasty—the ham, sashimi, cheese, and bread were all excellent. Our room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. We had requested a crib, and our baby slept soundly, which we really appreciated.
We did not use anything from the minibar, yet 5 hours after we checked out, we were sent a bill for drinks and snacks that we never consumed, and the cost was deducted from our deposit. Although the issue was corrected once we raised it, this mistake felt unprofessional and left us with a negative impression. We had booked a deluxe room, which was not larger than a standard room in most other hotels. The air conditioner also wasn’t working. Though this was not a big deal in this season in Amsterdam.
