I really like the location of the hotel, easy walking to different kind of attractions like the Royal Palace, museums, and the city's canals, and is also close to public transportation.
Since the hotel almost central of Amsterdam, you will notice: crowds, & Noice .

Welcoming and very friendly staff. Cleanliness of the hotel along with the room being cleaned twice a day. Very close to all shops, restaurants, and cafe’s which doesn’t need a vehicle.

The room was excellent and we loved the mirror set up in the bathroom and how they swirl to be able to look in the mirrors from the bedroom. Top location and friendly staff. Just a little strange that barely anyone speaks Dutch.

This was my second stay at Anantara Amsterdam, and it definitely won’t be the last! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with such warm and genuine hospitality that I instantly felt at home. The location couldn’t be better—right on Dam Square—meaning everything is just steps away with no need for transportation. And the room-service food? Absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to return.

- The best thing was the receptionist (Kiki). She was very cute and professional, even walked me to the room herself to make it easier for me.
- The room I booked was very small, but they upgraded me to an amazing suite — really, really great.
- The location is fantastic, right in the middle of Dam Square.
- The breakfast was excellent and very diverse.
- Honestly, everything was great and enjoyable.
I would love to stay with them again.

The breakfast was also very good
As soon as we arrived at the hotel and went to our room, we realized it wasn’t the one I had booked. I asked to change rooms, and indeed they moved us to another one — but to get there we had to use three different elevators. I didn’t feel safe in that room at all.
Additionally, they asked us to pay an extra €120. I accepted, but still didn’t feel safe, so I requested another room change.
Eventually, they moved us to a different room where, thankfully, we only needed to use one elevator to get there.
We lost about three hours dealing with all this, even though we only had one afternoon to explore the city. Unfortunately…
