The bed is very uncomfortable. On top of that the room was not isolated and I was given a room with street view which made it worse

I booked a Suite as we are Family of 4 for five nights. we enjoyed our stay. check-in was smooth and easy. one of the Hotel staff companied us and showed us the place and guided us to our suite. The suite was the same as the pictures in the website. plenty of room for kids to move around. room service comes daily and you can update them with your suitable time to come. the breakfast was grate with a lot of options. also housekeeping will visit you in the evening time to check if we need anything such as water and towels etc... .If you order food from outside, Hotel staff will bring the food to your room unlike other hotels. Hotel is located in the Dam Square area. everything is within walking distance.
Transportation App's such as Uber wont come to pick you up from front of the hotel. you have to go across the street for the pick up point.

Breakfast was fabulous. Room was nice. Beds were comfortable. Shower was spectacular! Location was fantastic.
View was a brick wall. The hotel was a bit impersonal.

The room was very spacious and everything was well-appointed. The location was very convenient, close to the shopping and the red light district. The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the concierge who gave us dinner recommendations. Bar staff was great as well!
It was extremely noisy, but based on the location, it was somewhat expected. If you're looking for a quiet, boutique hotel, this is not the place. It was clean, but not meticulously clean.

Formal Complaint – Guest Injury Due to Unsafe Mattress (Stay from July 3 to 12)
Dear Anantara Amsterdam Management,
I am writing to submit a formal complaint regarding a serious incident that occurred during my recent stay at your hotel from July 3 to July 12, 2025.
On the first night of our stay, my wife sustained a visible injury to her thigh caused by a sharp metal piece protruding from the side of the mattress in our room. I have attached photos that clearly show both the hazardous condition of the bed and the resulting injury.
Despite the seriousness of the incident, the hotel’s response was minimal. We were simply moved to another room, without:
• Any formal written apology
• Any room upgrade
• Or even a gesture of goodwill, such as a complimentary gift or token of apology.
While medical assistance was offered, my wife is a physician and treated herself. Nonetheless, the issue reflects a clear failure in safety standards and guest care. No official documentation, follow-up, or managerial concern was shown regarding the injury.
I kindly request a formal written apology and appropriate compensation for the injury and the emotional and physical discomfort caused during our stay.
I trust that you will handle this matter with the seriousness it deserves, and in line with Anantara’s standards of excellence and hospitality.

Cleanliness was excellent.

Beautiful property right in the middle of the action. Literally IN Dam Square. A short walk from everything you may need. A short car ride all ‘must see’ sights. Rooms are beautiful, and well equipped with all necessities. Restaurants are Michelin Star quality. Rooms are cleaned not once but twice a day. Conceirge are unbelievably helpful. They gave us the best recommendations and booked EVERYTHING we needed including a hair and nail appointment on New Year’s Eve.
Everything was impeccable. My only disappointment is that we were not given priority for their restaurants. All Christmas lunches/brunches were fully booked, mostly by outsiders not residents. Otherwise everything was truly great.

A big hotel with helpful and quick staff. Overall our experience was great. When booked on low season, the value for money is also great.
We've got an issue with room service at night which forgot about our order, but they have compensated part of it, so, in general, it did not affect our experience.
