Superb location of you're getting the Eurostar. A nice, comfortable hotel, with excellent staff, nothing out of this world but perfectly great for a weekend away.
The room was a little noisy at night, but it's Amsterdam and we were in a cheap room so you get what you pay for I guess

Perfect location for the Station, and Boat cruises. Also a good location for tour buses. Excellent staff.
There is no hotel lounge/bar to sit and relax in the evening. There is a very small bar of which some of the seating is taken up by diners. No large tables for a group, mainly tables for two. There is a Courtyard area outside the bar in the hotel foyer with tables for drinks or food, but not a relaxing cosy area during cold weather temperatures.. There are also some arm chairs but a strange unwelcoming area to relax.
There was a walk - in shower in our room that had a shiny glazed ceramic shower tray, which became very slippery when shower gel or shampoo was rinsed on there. There was no handle to hold when stepping out of a very slippery shower tray. There was also no rubber/ nonslip shower mat for the shower tray. VERY DANGEROUS!

The position of the hotel
The room was small. Nearly fell down the steps in the dark looking for the light switch. Noisy guests 2 out of 3 nights

I’ve stayed twice now, central, very helpful staff and everywhere clean
Great to hire bikes, saved time finding a place
Only thing was the room we had didn’t have a full length mirror, only the bathroom mirror, so difficult to get ready.

Excellent location, spacious rooms, very clean and well equipped, very friendly and nice staff (especially around breakfast and room/floor staff), excellent breakfast, gym and sauna available, dog friendly - the hotel even provided us food and water bowls, a dog bed and also a toy! :)
The 1st floor backyard room view was a bit claustrophobic.
