Great Location, room was clean, lots of sunlight with city view rooms
Comfort! Ire alarm tests at 8am, very early housekeeping start. Worst, is the fact I had DND sign outside my door yet housekeeping came in not once, but twice! Not only is it a violation of privacy and complete disrespect to ignore DND sign, but she proceeded to wake me up each time! The lights were off and I was asleep in my bed yet had to ask me if I needed my room cleaned! Like was I supposed to get up and give her my room because that's when she decided to come clean? I had to yell at her multiple times to leave, yet she came back again with the same strange request! On top of it, the phone ti my room wouldn't stop ringing I assume it was reception because who else? I had to physically get up to disconnect the phone so I can finally have some rest! What's wrong with the service here that they can't even recognize basics?
I had requested housekeeping earlier in the day but nobody came so I cancelled my request and told them I'd call them again when I needed them. I never called yet somehow they forced their way into my room twice, after ignoring my initial request.

Location
Cleaning not good. Bed sheets not changed for three nights for example. Very small room compared to pictures. Prepare to jump if you have a couple of big suitcases. Prepare to manage your luggage alone through the entrance to the 1st floor lobby.

It’s was close to the heart of Amsterdam and a perfect little base of our operations as a travelling group !

The location was superb, there were nice bars around, and it was right next to multiple tram stations. Also, the staff (especially the reception team) were extremely friendly and took the time to explain the city to me during my checkin. I very much appreciated their help.
I found the single room a bit too small. This was not a big issue since I didn't spend much time in the room, but I would appreciate more room.

The location is amazing. Love the view on the canal. We had a beautiful room. Roomy. Clean. Great bed. Space to move. The staff is exceptional and very efficient. Chris and the whole staff at the front desk was very helpful and provided an unbelievable experience. Then there was the wonderful Sri who welcomed us so warmly in their outstanding restaurant for breakfast. Don't miss the breakfast, phenomenal.
