There were two small elevators so we never had a problem getting up or down. We knew our room wouldn't be ready when we arrived at 10:00 am, so we waited in the lobby and got into ours at 1:30 pm rather than 3:00 pm. The room was very large considering the size of most in Amsterdam and Europe. It was very quiet on the 4th floor as we were in the back of the hotel. We had an Uber drop us off right at the door from the AMS airport. However, the hotel told us we needed to walk around the corner to get an Uber to the cruise terminal. The hotel was fine for a two-night pre-cruise stay as there were plenty of places to see and food/bars nearby.
The shower was very nice, but the floor was slippery. It would have been good to have a rubber mat or some grab bars to help to avoid failing.

The room was dirty and extremely small, and it did not match the description or photos shown on the website. In general, the hotel's photos are misleading and do not reflect reality. The breakfast lounge looks beautiful in the photos, but in reality it is old and poorly maintained. The location is also not ideal, as the hotel is situated directly opposite several pubs. Until around 4:00 a.m., we could hear people drinking, talking loudly, and dancing, which made it difficult to sleep. In addition, the hotel advertises that parking is available; however, this is not true. We were unable to find any parking facilities as advertised, which was both inconvenient and misleading.

Good location. Friendly staff. Room quiet.
Building work in breakfast area for first 2 days; bathroom smelt of drains, towels a bit thin. Breakfast acceptable but not as fancy as other NH hotels I have stayed in. Overall hotel looks tired and in need of a major refurb. So not great value for money.
