Great location - my bedroom was at the back of the building so it was very quiet - I slept really well! The staff was very nice too. I would stay there again.

Great location and stunning Hotel, which I’ve stayed at many times before
Unfortunately our sheets were not changed just turned over despite there being an obvious spillage that needed clean sheets; the coffee machine didn’t work (which we didn’t report to be fair because it was at night time) but the discarded coffee water wasn’t changed for the following day and the dirty cups left on the side. For a four star hotel I would’ve expected a better service (which we have certainly had in the four times at least that I have stayed here before).

Nice old property with a lot of character, superior rooms on the front are spacious and have great views. Breakfast is very fresh and a good choice plus the staff at breakfast and check in were very nice. Location is great, really handy for getting around everywhere and a tram station outside the hotel too.
The bar is not really inviting and always seemed empty. They could also perhaps benefit from an extra coffee machine at breakfast as we seemed to be queuing a lot behind staff to get a coffee. Either side of the hotel are coffee shops too, which is fine as it’s perfectly normal in Amsterdam, it’s just we were with young children and the smell is a little off-putting sometimes.

Perfect location , always clean , staff were friendly. Rooms are basic but had everything we needed and a comfortable clean bed. The view from our room was opened up onto the square which was lovely. I put in a special birthday message request for my partner and we arrived to a bottle of cava and donuts ☺️
I only had a coffee machine for hot water which I had to clean out with a full bottle of water to get clean hot water, a separate kettle would of been better but when I asked staff they were helpful.

Rooms were small but well appointed. Bathroom excellent. Breakfast was wonderful with a great selection and very helpful staff. Excellent location with good range of facilities around, just across the square being the tram stop to and from Central. Reception staff were very helpful and accomodating.
The lifts were an experience, the bar area was very uninviting, cold and with no atmosphere; the barman was warm and friendly. Noise at night was minimal; didn't need the supplied earplugs, but there was a vibration from the club next door from 11pm onwards.
