The breakfast was excellent, & offered a great selection of food
The room had no where to put your luggage.

The hotel location on Rembrandtplein was the main reason for staying here. Rembrandtplein, in December, has Christmas stalls and an ice rink; so quite festive. There are some bright advertising screens on buildings.
The hotel is quite old, with some original art deco styling mixed with more modern.
Breakfast had a good range of choices.
Generally service was good.
Interestingly they have an incentive scheme to not have your room serviced, which we used once during the stay.
The room was a superior twin on the fourth floor overlooking Rembrandtplein and very close to the stairwell / lift. The decor was quite drab, greys & brown; not very inspiring and a bit tired. Having said that, the room was quiet and the curtains blocked the brightness from the Christmas stalls in the square. Ear plugs helped to block out the moderate-low noise from the square (ear plugs were provided).
For some reason the room wasn't serviced on the Sunday
