The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly. The hotel’s biggest strengths are the spacious room and the good breakfast.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus service to the ferry, which takes you to the city centre. Unfortunately, this service is very unreliable and tends not to work – every time we returned from the city and tried to contact the driver via the specified channels (WhatsApp and phone) to pick us up from the ferry, no one answered and, of course, no one came to collect us. The drivers are very sluggish - the shuttle bus doesn’t run, so be prepared for a 20-minute walk each way if you want to get into town.

The bed and pillows were awesome; sturdy and just right amount of softness.
Breakfast was good ans plentiful, only the orange juice was subpar.
We were pleasantly surprised about the continuous, free taxi service to the ferry, which made the northern location a real non-issue.
Slightly dated rooms, with dated air conditioning.
Gym was big, though not a barbell for free weights.

The location is good once you learn how to use the free ferry from Amsterdam Central Rly Station.
The security set up in hotel - a pain - was good.
The shuttle service to ferry point - very nice arrangements
The staff training is not up to par. I blame the management for it. Most of them are relatively fresh it appears. Also this property was a "Airline Crew Hotel" until recently, the training to handle other tourist appears to be lacking

It's a calm and peaceful area. Having a ferry transfer service is very convenient.
The heating systems were a failure. We had three different rooms with our friends, and they all had heating problems. They offered to help change rooms, but the new room had the same problem. We stayed for three nights using a heater. Also, the curtains had large stains.
