We went for this hotel as it was much cheaper than hotels in the centre of Amsterdam, but it wasn’t far (15 minute walk) from the free ferry service that runs regularly across the river to and from Amsterdam Central Station, so it wasn’t a bad location. It’s also 10 mins from Noordepark metro and you can get buses nearby too. The Noord region also has some decent bars and restaurants that are close to the hotel. As for the hotel itself, the facilities were good. Staff were pleasant and there was a very useful 24/7 self service shop. The rooms were a very good size, there was a fridge that proved useful and they put an iron and ironing board in our room for arrival after I requested it, which was appreciated.
The beds weren’t the comfiest, but not too bad. We had 3 rooms in our group and unfortunately the air con didn’t quite work in one of them. You could tell the difference between the 3. We were staying there on the hottest day in Amsterdam history (37 degrees), so that wasn’t ideal. We raised it with reception and they said they would have a look but it still wasn’t quite working when we returned. They did say we could swap rooms, but it was late at night at that point, so we just put up with it as it was just about manageable. It didn’t ruin the stay though.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the grab and go options in the cafe area. Room clean and comfortable. The shuttle service to and from the free ferry to the centre worked extremely well for us. Overall we had a great stay and would return to this hotel

The room was comfortable, the shower was good
The distance from the town centre meant it was a real mission to get in each time and when the shuttle didn't show up despite several messages, we had to walk back. After a day of walking that was really problematic though when I spoke to the staff they were completely unconcerned.

It was nice they had a free shuttle bus to the ferry to go to the central station. Additionally we really liked the attention to detail, we got a small birthday present.
All in all, we had a great, short stay.
