Location
Thin walls, could not sleep, noises are heard, you hear how your neighbors move chairs, how they talk. Also the rooms are dusty and not vacuum cleaned. Too expensive hotel, looks fancy on the internet but in reality looks cheap.

Modern, clean, tasteful design, excellent breakfast buffet and service. Great location, quite residential with adequate restaurant choices and perfect for easy walking to VanGogh and Rijksmuseum. Vondelpark also close by. Front desk helpful with transportation.

Location
Dirty carpets. My room was not cleaned 2 days a row. When I arrived door to balcony wide open and room freezing. Desk clerk argued with me that there was no such door in my room. He said I was “aggressive” when I complained (I am 78 years old) and he was going to call police. Safe wouldn’t open again. Took nasty desk clerk half hour to figure it out For $350 a night it looked like a Howard Johnson’s from the 1950. I got offered a free coke for my troubles. The manager didn’t care.

One elevator was broken for our entire stay and there was no hot food option while we were there.

Location was very good. Walkable to many restaurants and museums.
Front desk staff, while polite p, gave different responses to similar requests. Our sheets were not changed during a nine night stay. As we had a room looking out the front of the hotel it was very noisy some of the nights, mostly on the weekend.

Staff were very helpful. They provided us with transportation (on the hotel) because we had to wait for our room to be ready. Breakfasts were delicious! Location was close to Rijksmuseum and Metro.
A mix up on whether one or two people were booked into our room was resolved finally, but it took a while.

The room size was great and the location was good.
The wait time for the elevators was quite long. The room temperature was preset to 20 °C and could only be increased by three degrees for a limited time, which made the room feel rather chilly.

We stayed here as a pre-cruise excursion from Holland America started here. Hotel not booked through HA. We were so happy with the hotel, the room, the breakfast and the location. The bed was most comfortable we've ever had while traveling. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Very walkable to museums and to the outdoor market.
