The staff were fantastic, hotel is nice and clean, we had a panoramic view room and the views were amazing .

The hotel is in Oud-Zuid, between De Pijp and Museumplein, a nice and quiet but still convenient location. I got the canal view room. It was perfect to wake up to such a view. There are several restaurants around De Pijp and there's a very good Chinese noodle house around the corner for those rainy nights when you want something warm. There's a tram station nearby in Roelof-Plein (we took no. 24 everywhere we went). The museums are within walking distance. And best of all, there's a Catholic church in De Pijp, Vredeskerk, with an English Mass every Sunday at 2:00 pm.

First of all, wonderful stuff. The room was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Clean, quiet, and with all the basic amenities in the room. Water in Amsterdam is drinkable. You don't need to buy it. And the best thing was the fantastic Breakfast. From fresh vegetables and fruits to cheeses and ham's. Or you just order an omelet from the staff. Fresh croissants, free juices, tea or coffee to your choice. Perfect.
The hotel is near the city center, a 30-minute walk, but both the tram and metro station are a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which is not that grait with the suitcases.

Hotel is 15 minutes away from the major museums and there are a lot of interesting restaurants and shops in this area. We had a 6th floor room looking over the canal and the rest of the city and the view was amazing. The room itself is simple and clean and everything was very comfortable. There was even a yoga mat in the room so doing yoga looking at the beautiful view was spectacular. We used the exercise room which was simple and perfect for a 30 minute cardio workout. The hotel met all our needs and exceeded them.

Great location, the snack and drinks area and lounge were exceptional.

We loved our stay at the Avani. It was a beautiful place; everything about the hotel made us feel welcome and at home away from home. The room, the lobby and breakfast were fantastic. We enjoyed sitting in our room enjoying the views. We were close to a variety of restaurants and museums!

Not suitable for children. Hardwood floors / no carpets. Tall bed. Bathroom not suitable for bathing children due to the glass partition.
