Very convenient location though not on a charming block
The lobby was dirty, run down, decorated with dying plants.
A staff member was incredibly rude to me when I went to the lobby at 5am looking for coffee as the machine in our room was broken. Our sink was clogged and never fixed despite request.
Housekeeping not good. Someone else’s dirty in a half empty glass was left behind when we arrived.
Room itself (jr suite) was fine, quiet facing courtyard, with a small bathroom, bad towels. No drawers or luggage storage space. Way, way overpriced.

I love this hotel (2nd time staying), the location is perfect and so close to so many huge attractions Amsterdam has to offer, i.e. the museums, Vondelpark, Leidseplein and is super easy to get to by bus from/to airport. Breakfast is lovely, had everything I personally like. We had rooms on the 5th floor which had little balconies, which is not something I've ever had before, I Love the sounds of a City so it was perfect, early morning balcony doors open, sun shining, sounds of Amsterdam waking up - perfect. Reception staff were wonderful and we had a very engaging chat with them. I only scored 9 on the scale, only because nothing is perfect/exceptional on a score chart, but it's as close to a 10/10 as you can get.

Location, comfortable rooms, and very helpful staff. Coffee and tea in the rooms and breakfast downstairs in the morning if you want it.
Our soap and shampoo dispensers were low and needed a refill. Both of our rooms had a tub/shower combo. You need very long legs to get in and out of the tub/shower safely. I think most people would prefer a walk in shower or a tub that sits closer to the floor. I would request walk in shower next time.
