I stayed and loved Meininger hotels until this one because :
• The Room was Not Ready: We booked a room for 3 people, but it was only prepared for 2. We told the reception, but instead of fixing the bed, they just threw the sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers onto the bed. They expected us to make the bed ourselves, which is very unprofessional.
• Freezing Cold & Sickness: The AC/heating did not work at all. It was freezing every night, and because of this, all three of us got sick. Also, the windows do not open, so the room had no fresh air, but somehow the cold air still came inside through the window frames.
• No Hot Water: On our first day, there was no hot water from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We arrived tired and dirty from our journey but could not even take a shower.
• Cleaning Service Issues: We followed the rules and asked for cleaning one day in advance. Next day at 12pm no one showed up so we went reception again and they said dont worry we first do check out rooms then it will be your turn. When we returned at night, the room was still dirty. We had left our towels on the floor to get fresh ones, so we ended up with no clean towels at all.
• Broken Elevators: The main elevators were broken couple of times. We had to walk to the other side of the hotel to use elevator/ stairs.
• Room Size: The triple room is way too small. With three suitcases open on the floor, there was no space to walk.
• Location & Transport: The hotel is near a train station, but the main lines to the center are very expensive. If you use the tram or metro, it takes a very long time because you have to change lines many times.

Proximity to Sloterdijk Station - access to Metro, Bus and Trams
The large volume of school groups. Making breakfast time quite unpleasant.
The breakfast was also nothing special, and quite pricey for what was available.

I did not like waiting for the staff to allocate me my room. I didnt mind that they said they couldnt allow me to check in earlier despise requesting for an early check in upon booking but even after 3pm, the room still wasn’t ready, when i finally got to the room, it was dirty and they had to send housekeeping later on to clean the room yet i had spent time waiting for the room which they said “ was being prepared”. I was so frustrated and disappointed.

Comfortable and affordable. The little kiosk was nice to have although a bit expensive compared to local stores.
