Amazing location - quiet, a quick walk to the city, close to the tram, couldn't be better. I was so happy we ended up staying in the museum district!
There is nothing I disliked about my stay. The room was small, but for the price, I cannot complain!

Location, air conditioning, very comfortable bed. The hotel has huge character. We had a small room that was clean and nicely decorated.
The tall narrow stairways were unexpected, however the elevator worked. In general, the hallways and stairways appeared a bit dusty.

The location was fantastic - close to Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum, Moco Museum, and more! Easy to walk to other neighbourhoods and very close to the bus stop to get directly to/from the airport. Our room was cozy but it was just fine for the three of us. We didn't have any problem with the temperature of the room, but our room provided 3 fans if we had needed.

Great location, nice welcome drinks and fun basketball hoop in the room!
Bathroom was much below par. The toilet seat cover would not stay up on its own, so it hit you on the back when sitting. It was also just a bit dirty.
The room was too hot for sleeping and we couldn’t control the temperature ourselves.
Hard to enter the hotel, steep flight of stairs to the entrance, so it was very difficult with the stroller.

I mistakenly booked this location as I thought I was booking the canal district location instead, but it ended up working out in our favor! This location is so close to public transit (which is incredibly easy to use) and is only an 8 minute tram ride to Centraal Station. The hotel is in an incredibly quiet and peaceful area and there aren't a ton of tourists out late since the museums are mostly closed by 7pm. We ended up preferring this location to the bustle of the canal district after all! The staff was incredibly friendly and took good care of us. The hotel is very historic and cozy, with quirky and modern decor that mixes the best of both worlds. The rooms are small, which was expected, but they managed to fit everything we needed without it feeling cramped.
The room was a bit stuffy. I appreciated that there was a fan for our use, but we did need to have it running the whole time to have some air flow.

The hotel is in such a fantastic location. I wish I could have stayed longer here. The staff are fantastic, Andrea, Mirane, Mike - all wonderful people. Andrea especially really helped us as we had a small challenge with our room and immediately offered us and executed a fabulous change.
The washrooms in some rooms could be on the smaller side. Keep that in mind. Also, the stairs coming into the hotel, and those going to the breakfast area can be too steep and not very physically challenged friendly.
