Pleasant
The hotel is located within walking distance to museums and centre. Many trams and buses are available to go further such as the airport. The breakfast was good. We had air conditioning in our room which was necessary for the hot weather.
The room was very small. The rug was full of hair from previous tenants. The kettle could not be plugged in because the wire was too short.

Very Good
Our stay was lovely: a stylish room, the nicest staff, an amazing location, and overall a very pleasant place to stay. I especially liked their concept of skipping a cleaning in exchange for a drink – a cool way to encourage sustainability.
There was a group of people being very loud right under our window at 2 am. I went down to notify the night manager, and he solved the issue in one minute; we really appreciated that.
One more note: the pillows were soft and fluffy, which I loved, and my friend hated cause she prefers thin, harder ones. To each their own, but it's definitely something you should keep in mind.
LOVED the Ukrainian housekeeper – it was so special to speak our native language so far from home.
There is no air conditioning, only a fan, so the room got pretty hot during the day when it was 25C outside. And the hotel is on the pricier side (like many things in Amsterdam), so yeah.

Good
The location was perfect, right next to the museums and galleries, and in a wonderful tree lined street which was always safe and calm for the kids. The staff were very warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was always fresh with good choices and the style of the hotel was very calm and relaxed.
Two things put us off a little, there was no fridge in the room and no air con! It was very warm weather and these two additions would have really helped, however there was fans in our rooms and these worked ok. The staff stored anything you wanted in a large glass fridge on reception, which was good, but would have preferred this in our our room.

The location is great if you're really keen on the museums and the parks and its a nice walk into the centre of the city past all the canals. The staff are helpful and provided great recommendations. The cancel a clean to save water and get a free drink is a wonderful initiative.
It is quite an older building, the cleanliness could be improved, vacuums and other cleaning equipment were left in the corridors which are already quite narrow. The walls are thin so you can hear the neighbours talking and moving around while in the rooms.
