The location and staff are great. The rooms have a certain character making it an experience (given you choose the canal side).
Price value overall does not seem to match. The room despite heating was quite cold. The room and bathroom are tight but have a certain charm. The breakfast is quite minimalistic. Good you don't have to head out but honestly not much else going for it. Overall a good experience but Worth shopping around as you find sth similar for less.

The location is absolutely spot on, a walking distance from major attractions and on a cute quiet end of the canal.
Plenty of coffeeshops around, if that's your thing and gorgeous eating spots at a throw away.
Room was a tad small, and I paid for an upgrade.
Can't be changed, but if you like a lot of space when travelling, maybe another spot if for you.
It's a boutique room, very cozy I think perfect during winter, can imagine too hot for summer's etc.

Very central and beautiful location on the canals. Comfortable space and friendly staff!
The room doesn’t have a fridge which would have been helpful, and there is a very narrow staircase to get bags up and down, so just be mindful of that!

Location was great, it was near a beautiful canal and was close to Dam square. Staff was really helpful and welcoming. Also had the pleasure to go to Moeders by their advice. Lastly about in 300 meters on the left hand side when you get out of Max Brown, there is a Frites Shop in the corner called “Heertje Friet”. Be sure to check there as well!
Due to its long history it was not best in terms of ergonomics. For example the toilet was private but outside the room while the bath is in the room ?

The location of the hotel was great. Close to everything, but still tucked away on a quiet street. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. It looks like they all love their jobs, and it sets the tone of the entire experience.
There were no towel hooks in my room. Other than that, it was a great room in an old canal house. Nice upgrades and a pretty comfortable bed.
