We booked this hotel for 1 night because our flight was cancelled. The property is in a nice neighborhood near Volden Park. The room was perfect for 3 people. It was quiet and clean. When we came in earlier than our check-in time the clerk allowed us to store our luggage at the hotel and included free breakfast, which was very nice.
When actually checking in, a different clerk told us that we have to pay a 10% city tax. After I told her that I probably already paid it via Booking.com she told me that no -- this was not included. When checking out the next day I accidentally noticed that my Booking.com bill is exactly equal to the amount on the hotel receipt. That meant that I did pay the city tax via Booking. After I pointed this out to a clerk (a different one from the day before) she admitted that a previous clerk made a mistake and refunded the tax. But, I was lucky to have caught this mistake.
Also -- the hotel was very pricey, but we had no choice, since we needed something quick for 1 night due to flight cancellation.

Great location in museum district. Close to public transportation, including steps away from airport bus. Staff was great, super helpful and fun.
My room was tiny (which was actually ok with me) but dark. Lots of close-by construction. The breakfast was just ok. Wish the hotel had a bar or offered other meals.

Location is fantastic, very close to city centre and exactly next to Vondel park entrance. Very nice place to stay if you don't want to use the public transport all the time.
The toilet was leaking from behind when flushed. Also, the sound insulation was not very good — you could hear doors closing, footsteps, and noise from outside during the night, which made it difficult to fully relax and sleep quietly. Overall, the value for money was not quite there.

Night staff was helpful when we raised a problem. Location was good.
Room was filthy. Toilet bowl was broken. Window was very stiff and needed power to open/close. Bedding was not anti-allergy (or the room was mouldy) which caused allergy problems. Room was very small. First the receptionist showed us to use the staff elevator, which was small, dirty and located very far from our room. Then we found the main elevator which was bigger, cleaner and much closer to our room. When we realized this, it was not a good feeling as we didn't understand why he done that (discrimination?). Hard to believe it was a mistake. Anyway. Overall, it was overpriced for the quality and wasn't a 4 star experience at all.

The hotel is in quite a strategic location; easy to reach city center, transportation, parks, markets, etc. The neighborhood is calm and free of any noise or disturbance which is a great positive. The staff is friendly, attentive and quick.

Cute little hotel off the beaten path, mostly away from noise (which is just what we wanted) but still close to tram and subway stations, restaurants, grocery, and shopping. Front desk staff were fantastic and very helpful for our entire stay of four nights.
Amsterdam is pricey, so I guess this hotel is just doing what they have to do, but I don't think we got value for our money and won't go back to the city again on future trips. Next time we will stay in smaller cities, like Delft. The hotel needs to be updated though. Our desk chair was unbalanced and annoying to use, and the hallway carpet is very old and dirty. Breakfast was just okay. Our daughter loves eating out for breakfast and her grandparents offered to take her to the restaurant in the hotel each morning, but after just one visit our daughter wasn't interested in going back again

Hotel was well situated and easy to explore the city on foot.
Poor housekeeping and maintenance Assigned room had significant issues related to cleanliness and maintenance. Mould was prevalent in shower and along window trim. Heating unit was torn off wall and was hanging loosely. Drapes were soiled and appeared to have vomit on them. And room was incredibly small- we booked a 3 person room and had minimal space to open luggage. Our complaint to management was dealt with efficiently and we were assigned a larger, brighter and cleaner room. Common areas and hallway carpets were visibly soiled. Breakfast was disappointing in quality and each day was exactly the same. Front desk staff were friendly. No housekeeping during our 5 day stay.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Check in was exceptional. Our rooms were spacious and well lit. We loved the location and felt safe in the area.

Location was nice for accessing the main areas, canals and trams. Liu at the front desk was always welcoming and helpful. The breakfast organizer was very welcoming and cordial. Loved the courtyard in the rear for sitting and relaxing. Having a frig to purchase items was nice.
The rooms are typical European and quite small. Although single beds, pushed together with little or no room to push them apart, they weren’t the best for ladies traveling together in a group. Shower was typical European but difficult to keep water from overflowing on bathroom floor. Hallways need a good deep cleaning.

location is great close to a lot of things and transportation. beds were comfortable. loved having 3 twin option.
Maid service did the very minimum if anything at all. i requested a room cleaning once during a 5 day stay. they changed the towels took the trash and made the bed. i was expecting that they also sweep the floor, change the sheets, wipe/clean the bath vanity and shower, put a tissue box. clean used mugs. and straighten curtains. if you want the room cleaned be specific.

It’s very close to the tram stations and near restaurants.
The walls are too thin, I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I could others’ conversations from word to word. Also the WiFi connection wasn’t great at all. Could only get a signal when I stayed in a specific spot in the room.

Location was great, you can both have a Central location and quiet Street
There are some different rules about the hotel, In case you want to have a breakfast you have to make the payment to the reception first. I did not have my wallet with me because I was staying at the hotel and I thought I could bill it to my room number as usual. Also the staff at the reception that day was quite rude while explaining the process. Also you have to inform through a QR code if you want your room cleaned.
