It needs some renovation in the bathrooms. The line between the shower and rest of floor was a bit dirty. But the room was clean and ok.

Night staff was helpful when we raised a problem. Location was good.
Room was filthy. Toilet bowl was broken. Window was very stiff and needed power to open/close. Bedding was not anti-allergy (or the room was mouldy) which caused allergy problems. Room was very small. First the receptionist showed us to use the staff elevator, which was small, dirty and located very far from our room. Then we found the main elevator which was bigger, cleaner and much closer to our room. When we realized this, it was not a good feeling as we didn't understand why he done that (discrimination?). Hard to believe it was a mistake. Anyway. Overall, it was overpriced for the quality and wasn't a 4 star experience at all.

Wonderful
This hotel is in an excellent location, clean, extremely helpful staff and room was much bigger than we expected. We were a family of 4 with a toddler and baby. Arrived early in the morning, were fortunate to be given a room straight away.
We were in ground floor, occasional waves of cigarette smoke come through the hotel lobby from outside, we managed but not ideal with little children

The hotel is in quite a strategic location; easy to reach city center, transportation, parks, markets, etc. The neighborhood is calm and free of any noise or disturbance which is a great positive. The staff is friendly, attentive and quick.

Room was spacious.
Too loud. Reception needs to be quieter for the ground floor residents. Breakfast layout is chaotic.

Wonderful
Cute little hotel off the beaten path, mostly away from noise (which is just what we wanted) but still close to tram and subway stations, restaurants, grocery, and shopping. Front desk staff were fantastic and very helpful for our entire stay of four nights.
Amsterdam is pricey, so I guess this hotel is just doing what they have to do, but I don't think we got value for our money and won't go back to the city again on future trips. Next time we will stay in smaller cities, like Delft. The hotel needs to be updated though. Our desk chair was unbalanced and annoying to use, and the hallway carpet is very old and dirty. Breakfast was just okay. Our daughter loves eating out for breakfast and her grandparents offered to take her to the restaurant in the hotel each morning, but after just one visit our daughter wasn't interested in going back again
