Friendly staff throughout our stay. Rooms were fairly small with limited facilities as a result (such as iron in the room) but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was reasonable too with cooked and continental buffet. Location pretty central to the sights.
As above, slightly small rooms for the money but this is common in most European cities.

Loved that this hotel is so close to the Amsterdam train station and Dam square.
There were a couple problems that I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The first issue was the the bathroom lights are on a sensor. So no matter what time of night you get up, the lights will go on. This would be OK except the door for the bathroom is a sliding translucent glass door, so anyone sharing the room with you is level to be woken up. And in the case of our stay, the light would not go off. At one in the morning, I called the front desk and they told us to close the bathroom door. Eventually, after 30 minutes, the light finally went off. They came back on later in the night, even though there had been no motion to trigger them. This did not make for a great night sleep for either myself or my friend. In the morning, I spoke to the front desk and asked if they could send somebody in to take a look. Unfortunately, as it was a Sunday there technicians were not working. They offered to move us to another room, but as we had one night left, we opted to stay put. The other issue we had was the lack of toiletries in the bathroom. We expected shampoo and cream, rinse, and found only body wash. Easy to fix with a quick trip to the drug store but I with the price of Amsterdam hotels it was a surprise.

Nice staff and location.
Bathroom has no privacy for twin share, it is transparent with a hole for hand grip. Bathroom had sensor light which stayed on for 5 minutes each time the room was used, waking all occupants during the night. One room had shower issues. Twin share beds should not be placed together with no means of separation due to the head board. People choosing a twin share room do not want to sleep right next to each other!

Foodie restaurants extremely close. Brussels train central very close as well. Police station about 30 feet away for your information.

The location is great and staff are wonderful.
Room was right next to the breakfast prep area and was sometimes noisy in the evenings or very early morning with staff getting or preparing things.
