Location was ideal and staff were very helpful especially by accommodating an early check in for us which we really appreciated.
Something small but the lead for the hair dryer was too short. Had to bend down to dry my hair.
Breakfast was very expensive.

It is impossible to appreciate any physical amenity or room quality when you are subjected to prejudice and discrimination.
My wife and I were victims of xenophobia. The staff refused to serve us at breakfast, even though there were clearly tables available, and humiliated us by suggesting we go eat at Starbucks instead. This hostile treatment was not an isolated incident, as it also occurred at the rooftop bar. What initially seemed like a lack of staff training was revealed, through our email exchanges with management, to be an institutionalized, top-down discriminatory attitude. Instead of addressing the severity of the xenophobia, management offered 'compensations' that felt like insulting handouts. This made it clear that they had no real interest in fixing the hotel's toxic culture, forcing us to end our communications with Meliá and report the case to the Dutch authorities, including Discriminatie.nl and the local police.

Friendly staff at check-in. Super quick check-in. Clean room - larger than I expected. Very nice rooftop bar, one of the best in Amsterdam

Clean, bright hotel. Staff all excellent. Good breakfast (not excessive but great range of food and all served well).
Hotel minutes away from Zuid station - easy to get places, but also a very pleasant walk into town if you fancy walking.
The open plan showers did not afford much privacy. Absence of lock on toilet door also.

My room was not nice before. There was no proper wardrobe in this room. Everything was pushed in a corner and i think it was smaler.
I think hotels are doing this to regulars. If you are first time they give you a bigger and nicer room but if it is your second or 3rd time rooms are getting worse and worse. That is one ıf the reasons that i did not book by my orevioues hotel for other stay for the 4th time. I am travelling to amsterdam for work purposes so may try one more time again but if it is getting worse then i will also check the other hotels in the area.

The localisation it's excellent, lots of restaurants around, supermarket, and the station 3min walking.
5min away from airport by train, only one stop.
I think for what we paid for 4 nights, I didn't see that above and beyond experience. If that makes sense.

Breakfast was good but very expensive. Eu28 per person for a family of four means a very expensive breakfast particularly if some don't want a large breakfast.
