Friendly helpful reception - given a map and information on places to visit/eat at
We were given a room upgrade and it was wonderful having more space. Hotel was perfectly located to get to all the experiences we had booked and for public transport.

Wonderful
The Service was amazing, they Cleaned the room Daily contrary to European standards. One sees that not so often here. Location is amazing but the only problem is, there is construction going on right now. It’s not so noisy but the downside it takes up the view from the hotel and the street. It was a vibe killer for me.

Location is good, quiet street, helpful staff.
This isn’t a 4 star hotel, I’ve stayed in way better 3 stars. Breakfast isn’t included in the price which seems ludicrous for the price and 4 star rating. Very expensive for what it is. Rooms need a revamp. Don’t do twins now unless it’s an executive room.

Very comfortable bed and nice linen. Pod coffee machine was welcome and breakfast had a good variety.
We arrived around 9pm during a cold snap and our rooms window was open, hail entered our room as shown in the photo added. The heater was not working and the room was very cold. The night desk attendant was very helpful finding us an extra duvet to use and the next day the heater was rectified.
The bathroom is a little dark for my liking although they have tried by including an illuminated vanity mirror. Products were lovely and the shower was good.

Disappointing
This is one of several hotels in its neighborhood that are close to the main museums and the Concertgebouw. The kitchen and cleaning staff worked hard to make up for a very poorly maintained facility.
It cost more than $400/night. The hallway to my room was dilapidated. The doorways had chipped paint. The stairs had torn carpet. The hall carpet and walls had stains. The stairways to other floors are very steep and the steps have shallow treads. If there was a fire and the elevator couldn't be used, they would be challenging. The room I was in was supposed to be an "Executive" room. The wardrobe was assemble-at-home type furniture and had stains on the doors. The other furniture should have been replaced years ago. It was chipped, scraped, and stained. The bathroom sinks were damaged and had old stains.

Great location with a tram line just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Location is good, close to main museum and restaurants.
The room is quite old, the bathroom is too small and very inconvenient to use, and the refrigerator barely cools. The room's sound insulation is poor — you can hear guests moving around in the corridor.
