Really nice hotel, well placed in a very quite part of Amsterdam. Very cool atmosphère and décoration.
When you book a double room you get 2 single beds made up as a double. There is a gap between both. I asked the réception about this, they proposed to put a top matrass for my last night, a pity this is not done automatic.

Good location just on the edge of the city center area. Public transport only 5 mins walking. Nice and proper hotel. Good bar and restaurant.

Room and breakfast were amazing, location is not bad but also not super central.
We have ordered chicken strips on day one which were great so we decided to re-order them on day 2. They came raw and we have asked the waiter to fry them better, but they tried to convince us that's how they are supposed to be done and that we were in the wrong. This is extremely unprofessional.

Breakfast was substantial and good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The safe in the room had been locked open by a previous guest & despite several attempts by staff & maintenance it wasn't fixed. This wasn't a huge issue for a short stay for us and without asking we were given a little discount because of the issue. The location was on a bus route and about 10 minute walk from a station. It's location is a bit isolated with not a lot nearby but it's not difficult to get around with public transport.
Location was OK for a specific place (Jaap Eden) that we wanted to visit but little nearby the hotel. Having found public transport good and easy to use, in future we'd probably pick a more central hotel and use the trams/buses to get to places outside the centre.
