Fair
The location, breakfast
The room was a bit shabby, had to go and ask for towels, it was very cold outside and no extra blankets provided.

Good
This was my first place I stayed in Europe and wanted my own room to get my bearings. The staff is very nice and the lobby area is comfy. The room itself was pretty good.
The shower needs a better pan or a way to stop water flooding all over the floor. That was irritating and ruined my floor towel.

Very Poor
Convenient location and friendly reception staff. But the whole experience is spoiled by the smell.
The fact that they didn't clean the room or change the towels is a minor detail.
But the smell in the bathroom was terrible.
It's stinky.

Exceptional
The staff, the staff, the staff :) They are helpful, friendly, and genuinely enjoy their work. This is huge because the attitude of the staff can make or break a hotel experience.
Plus, they are masters of the scrambled egg in a cozy breakfast area overlooking The Neighbor’s Magnolia tree ??
The atmosphere is charming casual, where good will flows in a welcoming, old style elegance.
The location is ideal, with Vondelpark around the corner and museum district within walking distance
I was unable to access check in at midnight via Intercom.
Street traffic was surprisingly loud.

The location is perfect for visiting both the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijk Museum.
The number 2 tram to Amsterdam Central Station runs down the street past the hotel. The bus to the airport is five minutes walk away.
The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The bacon at breakfast was delicious as was the freshly baked rolls.

Good
We had an excellent breakfast here, good comfy beds in a quiet room, and thought it was a good location (close to tram and bus routes to the old town center and to the airport).
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to store our luggage there before our book in time and after we booked out. We had nice conversations with them and tea, coffee and cookies in the afternoon!
Their front entrance hall really needs cleaning and sprucing up. It gives a poor first impression. Also, there was no working hair dryer in the room . It was a bit cool in the room and we couldn't get the heat to go on. I think, being April, the heating was already turned off for the summer season.

Wonderful
The Neighbour’s Magnolia truly lives up to its name. It is beautifully surrounded by blooming magnolia trees, which add such a lovely touch to the atmosphere.
The space was cozy, with a warm, local vibe. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and always ready to assist.
The location was perfect for our plans. We wanted to explore the city on foot and visit nearby museums, and it was only about a 15-minute walk to most of the spots on our list.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.
P.S. One things to note, there is no elevator, so light traveling is a good idea!

Wonderful
We encountered a bit of a situation within the family on our visit and the staff were exceptional with us. Really helpful and patient. We would like to offer our thanks to the two gents who helped us, we really apologise for the inconvenience!
Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, bed size was great and bedding comfortable and clean little alarmed and swipe card set up on the room doors, we each had our own bathrooms/showers/baths/toilets. Building is a short (2 mins) walk from Tram stop on route no.s 2 and 12. Lovely neighbourhoood with bars/cafes near (but no noise from them and quiet streets). Try the pizza place over the street too.
We were able to leave our luggage stacked with other customers within the reception area before check in, again, staff were lovely and we each got little stroopwaffels on our exit, Thank you my neighbours magnolia!
Ubiquitously narrow dutch stairs in a tall narrow building can't be helped but bear it in mind if you have a lot of luggage or large feet :)

Wonderful
Staff was super friendly, breakfast was good, specially for small hotel, they also adopted to our gluten free requirements. I was pleasantly surprized by a garden with magnolia full of flowers that come with our room. Did I mention private WC? It might sound like "what?" but in Amsterdam old town area it is super rare in this price range!
Main lights in the room were a bit dim.
