Pleasant
I liked the location. It was convenient to travel around, close to tourist attractions and the tram. It was also easy to take a canal cruise, with boats available right in front of the hotel. There were also plenty of food options nearby.
What needs serious improvement is the front desk staff. They completely lack a service mindset and show no interest in helping guests at all. For example, our room had three beds, but they only gave us one key card. We only found out we could have gotten more when we checked out, because the staff asked why we were returning only one card. We explained that the previous staff member only gave us one.
Also, since we were traveling with a small child and had a lot of belongings, we didn’t request housekeeping. Instead, I went down to ask for more toilet paper. The front desk staff refused and said there should already be some in the room—without even asking for our room number or offering to check. No effort was made to assist.
Lastly, don’t expect the front desk staff to recognize their own guests. They keep their heads down and avoid eye contact entirely, even if you try to greet them or make eye contact.

Location was great, bed comfortable.
The room was so cramped that there was no place to put our suitcases except on the floor in front of the door.
My daughter left 2 rings on her nightstand when we left for the day, and they were gone when we returned, with only housekeeping having access to the room. We notified front desk staff who told us to email the hotel manager. It’s been over a week and he still hasn’t responded. I realize she should have put them in the room safe, but ignoring a customer’s complaint of room theft is unconscionable for a hotel manager. Still waiting for a return call or email…

The property was in a fine area for the places we wanted to see and walk to and from the train station, the noise was louder than we expected on the street all night so probably wouldn’t book again.
The hairdresser was so old and melting as I was using it which was concerning and barely helped to dry my hair. It was the fall but the AC unit wouldn’t go below 23C and was blowing hot air which forced us to have to keep the window open all day and night which just produced even more noise

This hotel is in a great location! Walking to several restaurants, bars in Rembrandt Plaza. Located across from Canal. Elevator made it very convenient with luggage.
Hotel Staff very friendly & efficient.
It’s a bit noisy but considering location I don’t think it can be helped. There is coffee and tea in lobby which is very nice. If it could be open at 6am it would be great. There is a kettle in the room if you’d like to make instant coffee or tea.

I liked the location (busy, but the hotel itself is quiet) and the lobby, elevator and staff. Staff was pleasant and agreed to change the room because there was no view outside of the window. Room 33 is ideal for view. Bed and bed were satisfactory.
The rooms are small and yes, Amsterdam hotel rooms are small, but these needed refreshing.
Shower curtain wasn’t heavy or long enough to keep the water from spilling into the floor. The curtain to the windows were tattered. The twin beds are pretty narrow but long enough. Just enough space to roll in 2 pieces of luggage. Fine for me and a friend.
