Disappointing
Cleanliness of bed, and old room not like what I had seen online, if I hadn’t pulled back base sheets I would’ve been sleeping in a feral bed. The hotel did move me rooms and gave me all new pillows, bedding, etc because I demanded it but initially the response was quite rude by manager behind desk and the man cleaning the room. Tried to say the room wasn’t ready but she gave me it anyway because of my elderly mum, total lie as the room was all closed off and everything was made and the cleaner was in the room next door at this point. Would advise pulling the sheets back to the mattress and take off the pillow covers as these were also very stained with sweat stains etc

Wonderful
Excellent location, easy walking distance to everything, including the Metro. Very welcoming staff. Nice room - we selected one with a canal view which was great.
The only negative was a decorative window in the room that couldn’t open and that didn’t have a blind or curtain to shut out light at night.

All the staff we spoke to were really friendly.
The room was just quite tired, and was possibly in the smallest room in the hotel. The curtains had rips in them, and didn’t do much to block out the bright green lights shining into our room until gone midnight, when thankfully they turned off.

It was in a great location! Cooking facilities were excellent! The host was exceptionally helpful and when we arrived early looked after our luggage! Would stay there again and recommend to others! It exceeded our expectations - it was like the photos on booking.com

Twin room are 2 single beds placing together edge by edge, no space /gap in between. The toilet door blocked the walk way when open, it touched the bedside!
Aircon kept in 23 C , they said they fixed at that temperature and would not change it. If you don’t like it, you can open the window instead and open the window is even cooler.

Only 1 key per room which makes it difficult for 2 people. The key must be engaged for electricity. Therefore both people must leave at same time.

The location was the best, very close to the heart of Amsterdam with everything in walking distance. Room service came every day to clean the room.
Room slightly small, however worth it with the comfort of the bed along with the location!

great location
The only positive thing about this hotel is the location – it’s very central and convenient. Other than that, my stay was terrible. The rooms are absurdly small; you can’t even open a suitcase properly. The windows don’t face the street but instead open into a narrow shaft between buildings, directly across from another room, which means there’s zero privacy. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work, making the space extremely uncomfortable. Overall, it was a horrible experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Pleasant
We hired x 2 bikes from the hotel but one was not in good working condition. It was not an easy ride and made our outing to Zaanse Schlans not as enjoyable. We ended up getting a train back. They offered us another bike but by then we were over it. No refund was offered.
