Very Good
All the staff were amazing, place was clean and tidy.
It was nosy late at night and early in the morning but that's to be expected with the location.

Pleasant
I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced and in the city center close to a lot of things. The pub downstairs is a fun one.
Our room faced the street where late-night partiers were quite loud, until around 4am, so we didn't sleep very well. Next time I will move further from the train station and red light district. The toilet room was very tiny, difficult to move around in. The room itself was quite small as well.

Beautiful place and awesome staff
Noise in the streets, but they provide earplugs

Location can't be beat, closest to Central Station, right in the red light district. The climb to my room was a bit steep, so take that into consideration, but my room was spacious and comfortable.

The location was central and near attractive locations.
It is very basic with no feeling to be in a hotel.

Staff was very helpful and kind.
Stairs should be described as a ladder. Mattress was within a waterbed frame and mattress was lower than the big hard frame making it painful and difficult to get in or out of it. Lighting was very dim. Very very old building and everything inside is outdated as well.

If you are looking for a place close to the train station and red light district, this is your place.
The host was kind, he helped us to check which train we should take next day on the way to the airport.
Basic place, nothing fancy, but clean and well located. You have the bed, the bathroom sink and a little space for you luggage.
It is close to the red light district, so there is noise during the night.

Close to town
The room smelled terrible smoke. All our clothes stunk.
The stairs are wicked steep.

The staff is amazing!! The price was high but it is understandable because it was kings day. It was the perfects location, it doesn’t get more city center than that!
The beds where 1 persons bed but was a bit small.
A bit dusty

Handy central location for visiting Amsterdam and fairly cheap. Staff are friendly and help with storing bags. Nice bar with good discount for guests. Earplugs provided due to location. Basic but to be expected. Comes with WiFi. Room allows smoking which is good if you are visiting to go to Coffeeshops, but did not smell when we arrived.
Very basic room that did not feel very clean, curtains had mould where they were in contact with windows. Only way to open window is with piece of wood supplied to wedge it open, needed 2 people to do. Room was on a slant including bed. Bed ok but only 1 small uncomfortable pillow each. Very steep stairs could do with a warning before booking. Not clear how to check out, we left at 09:00 at which point the reception was not open due to it being a bar so had to knock to hand our key cards in. Location is very noisy (to be expected) and windows not very effective at blocking out noise when closed, not sure the supplied earplugs would help much (did not use as have my own). Room very warm and stuffy, only way to cool is opening window which is not great when so central. Thin walls so can hear other guests.

Excellent room, very comfortable. Massage chair was a nice surprise. Great staff. Noise was not too loud considering all the warnings about noise levels, the provided ear plugs went unused. The bathroom was great. Biggest bathroom i've had in amsterdam and the first one with a bathtub.
Room description is very accurate!
The stairs are what i've come to expect after many years of travelling to Amsterdam, definitely not the worst i've come across.
As for all the complaints about the noise. I don't remember many times where central Amsterdam doesn't remain noisy until about 2am. I always choose to sacrifice peace and quiet for a better location.

Massage chair in room! Perfect location. They left us earplugs but even being a light sleeper I wasn’t bothered by the noise 3 floors up. Staff were friendly and helpful.
be aware the stairs are quite steep, but this has been my experience in a lot of hotels here so they’re not any worse than usual.

Very Poor
I liked that it was right by the train station and it was very central so it was easy to move around the city
The room was dirty, the smell of cigarettes in the room was unbearable and wouldn’t go away, the carpet was disgusting, sheets “clean” full of stains and the shared bathroom was always dirty, the time they had to change our sheets they literally literally left the clean sheets on top of our bed to make the bed ourselves (I’ve never been to any place that makes me do the room by myself) when we put the sign at the door knob to make the room they still didn’t change our sheets they just threw the sign on the floor. The cherry on top was the piece of wood to keep the window open.
