Just only location is great. In the central city closed to central station.
So loundly outside. The ground floor is bar. Even they close but lot of drunker shout after midnight and also noisy in the morning. Staff did not make up room even we hang make up sign in front of room.

nice bar owners downstairs, helped us carry and keep our luggage downstairs before our check in time. good wifi. clean beds and there's a tv with netflix on it. sink in the room. will have to cross to the shared bathroom that is clean across the hallway.
you can smoke in the rooms which is fine and cool but the rooms smell very strongly because i don't smoke, gave me a headache while I was staying there. the stairs are super steep leading up to the rooms, not bad just a little scary!

Excellent location - especially for those who arrive by train, as it is in a short walking distance from Amsterdam Centraal train station. Also, multiple restaurants, shops and boat tours are within a short reach. There is a bar at the ground floor, the hotel patrons get 10% discount there.
It's quite a noisy area at night, but that's not a hotel's fault. You have to pay for the excellent location by absorbing the noise from the people having a good time nearby. Also, just like it is in most downtown hotels, the staircase is pretty steep, and there's no elevator/lift in the building.

The room had a lot of space and a beautiful view. There is a sink in the room which was useful. I liked that you can smoke in the room.

our room had big windows that you could look down onto the street from, a lovely massage chair and two comfy chairs, along with a desk and a lovely bathroom with big shower and bath and the bed was very comfy - the room was big and we enjoyed it!
the only real drawback was the stairs were steep but we expected this staying in the middle of amsterdam
