Affordable and very well located hotel. Perfect for people watching from the windows as they look over the Amsterdam streets. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, nice to come back in the evening and have a smoke out the window!.

Location is amazing. Worker who also works in the bar is very kind and funny. Also, the room was very clean.
The stairs were steep. Bed could be more comfortable.

The proximity. to Amsterdam Centraal station was the only positive I can take from this experience. But the neighborhood could be described as on the 'dodgy' side.
This is NOT a hotel in the true sense of the word. These are rooms above a pub. The tiny staircase is a deathtrap and a lawsuit waiting to happen. God help you if you have a large suitcase. The only staff available to the clients are the people who work behind the bar. They have no knowledge of how to run a hotel and are only available during the pub's opening hours. And when you do speak to them there's the added bonus of the noisy pub atmosphere to contend with. The room was adequately sized but for Amsterdam in the depth of winter, I only had a tiny radiator to warm up the bedroom. The other room where the shower and toilet were remained freezing. The management could have spent an hour writing up notes for the rooms. On the final night the hot water system broke down. When I told the barman he said he knew and had already asked someone to come out. As I had to leave at 4am the next morning I was desperate to have a shower. Once again, there was zero communication. The problem was eventually fixed hours later. I never received any kind of apology for the inconvenience. €129 a night is absurd.

Location is excellent surrounded by a great selection of bars and restaurants
5 minutes walk from the station
Staff were very friendly
Room was warm, clean and the bed was comfortable
The 10% discount at the bar was a pleasant surprise
The luggage storage was also very helpful
Stairs were steep but it is Amsterdam so it was expected
The shower was either boiling or freezing but we managed to make it through

Loved the location, most people would hate the sounds of city at night and early morning but I loved them as someone who grew up on the countryside. As a smoker I also loved the fact I could smoke in the room, that experiance alone made sure I will be staying here again!

Loved staying here. Location is perfect, staff are really friendly lady who checked me in was lovely. Rooms are basic, but have the essentials. Smoke friendly too, what more do you need? Will be staying here again.
