We liked the location, as it was easy to catch various trams and also the airport bus stop was only a block away. The staff were all very friendly. While it was more homey than elegant, the housekeeping was top notch and the room had everything you could want. We had a large double with a king bed. The breakfast room was pretty and the breakfast extensive! The elevator was appreciated.

We absolutely loved our time at Hotel Fita. It is a lovely little hotel and the location is great. We dealt with many different staff over our time there and all of them were so helpful and friendly.
They do have steep stairs but there is a lift. The stairs did add a charm to the place.

This was our second stay at the Fita, and we were happy to meet again the staff, who are warm, welcoming, and helpful. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed comfortable, the bathroom facilities fine, and the location next to the Museum Quarter wonderful. The breakfast selection is smally but good, and the staff responsive to special requests such as an omelet or a soy milk latte.
As in most small hotels in older Amsterdam buildings, there are several steps that one must climb to get into the hotel, and the elevator is tiny. But that's made up for by the building's location and charm.

Very nice staff Good breakfast. Very nice breakfast person. Good location. Clean room.
No AC. Room stuffy. Window impossible to open Very narrow stairs, both inside and the outside stoop Minimal furniture in room, and cheaply made. Got a splinter from the nightstand. Always had to go downstairs to the front desk , and ring the receptionist for them to come up and answer questions. Not convenient. No phone from room to reception.

Location was steps from bus and museums. Breakfast was well appointed including made to order pancakes ( crepes)
Missed a person at the desk when entering or leaving. No one physical to ask for directions.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. We got a free upgrade and our room was huge - very comfortable with great air conditioning. Also really liked the laundry service for €10 per bag and the hotel is in a great location for the price.

I loved the quiet location, proximity to museums, upscale district, shopping street and good restaurants, few schools around with the local live. I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see in Amsterodam. Arrived by plane, transfered to train and to local trams, all was very easy and convenient. Hotel is very cozy and sweet.

I wish that breakfast could be offered before 7:30. I had to catch a taxi to the airport at 7:30 so couldn't eat. The coffee maker in the room didn't work well. The design of the shower, with the glass not extending the full length of the shower stall, means that water gets all over the floor. I know this is a common design in Europe but its messy. Otherwise a good hotel, attractive and quiet, in a great location.
