Hotel Die Port van Cleve is ideally located in the city center of Amsterdam, right behind the Nieuwe Kerk and Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Mall. Many extraordinary sites that the city has to offer are within walking distance, like Anne Frank's House, the Nine Streets and the beautiful canal belt. From its humble beginnings as a brewery in 1864 to becoming one of Amsterdam's most beloved hotels, Die Port van Cleve has been a witness to history, culture, and innovation. The hotel consists of six monumental buildings that are connected to each other, therefore all 122 hotel rooms vary in size and layout. Perfect location - just around the corner from Dam square. All staff were super friendly and helpful. Room was really nice, bed was HUGE. I would 1000% stay here again if back in Amsterdam.

Super staff, very clean room, good shower, quick lifts, lovely bar, amazing restaurant ( needs to be rebooked as not part of the hotel) and fabulous location. Fridge in the room kept things very cold. Once again, fabulous friendly and helpful staff.
Bed was too high to easily get into ( I’m 5 foot 3 inches) and was too big for the size of the room, which really was quite compact. Also the breakfast wasn’t fabulous - very rubbery scrambled eggs and cold potato wedges. I’d go back to this hotel for sure but would give the breakfast a miss.

The location was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size—lovely, comfortable, and equipped with a coffee machine, plus complimentary waffles, which was a nice touch. We didn’t dine in the hotel restaurant, but it was always busy, which seemed like a great sign.
The bathroom was very small, the towels were undersized, and the hairdryer was disappointing. View from room was non-existent but as we were out and about most of the time it wasn't a big issue.

Excellent location! The gentleman that greeted us on arrival was excellent! Checked us in early and gave us directions to our first tour start point! Extremely friendly!! Room was very clean! Perfect for what we needed it for - to sleep!
All was great, I would say maybe they could mention that the hotels restaurant is very popular and gets booked up, so letting their guests know to book in advance could help? But it really has no impact on our stay we would deffo go back

Location is excellent. So close to everything. Room was spotlessly clean.
The bathroom is extremely cold. No heating in the bathroom and fan on. So after bath/shower your body is stone cold. The towels are very small also.

The location was excellent—you can think of it as being between quiet canal-side streets at the back and a lively square at the front. Trains departing from the station pass right in front of the property, which is very convenient. There is also a market right next door. The staff were very kind and allowed us to leave our luggage. The rooms were very clean.
