Hotel Die Port van Cleve is ideally located in the city center of Amsterdam, right behind the Nieuwe Kerk and Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Mall. From its humble beginnings as a brewery in 1864 to becoming one of Amsterdam's most beloved hotels, Die Port van Cleve has been a witness to history, culture, and innovation. The hotel consists of six monumental buildings that are connected to each other, therefore all 122 hotel rooms vary in size and layout. The location was PERFECT! We were able to walk to the main attractions during the holiday season. Restaurants, canal rides, and downtown were just blocks away.
While the restaurant was available early and evening hours, the menu was limited in selections.

Room facing the street was noisy on weekend nights, but we had selected street facing room so did not ask to move. Plenty choice for breakfast, which was nice enough, but definitely overpriced.

They have the slowest lifts on the planet but it provided more giggles than stress.

Great location. Room very spacious. Good sized bathroom. Modern attire.
Very noisey from street / all night. Property did not have a reception area to sit down which is weird. Reception staff not overly friendly hence cold atmosphere. I like to sit in a hotel lobby rather than my room. Restaurant closed due to renovations. No fresh water given.

Grate place nice size rely clean and compatible grate staff
Bad smell from the sewage pipes some times. but that is pretty standard all over over Amsterdam.
