Hotel Die Port van Cleve is ideally located in the city center of Amsterdam, right behind the Nieuwe Kerk and Dam Square, next to Magna Plaza Shopping Mall. From its humble beginnings as a brewery in 1864 to becoming one of Amsterdam's most beloved hotels, Die Port van Cleve has been a witness to history, culture, and innovation. The hotel consists of six monumental buildings that are connected to each other, therefore all 122 hotel rooms vary in size and layout. I arrived late afternoon Room wasn’t the same with photos Breakfast +22-23 euros per person but was ok But one of the managers Daniel was really helpful he changed for us with something similar So I believe the credit goes to him!!

Great location, easy access to Dam Square. Centraal Station, and the Trams. The staff was very attentive and helpful! A special thanks to Ercan in Reception for his kindness!
My only comment would be that our room could use additional lighting.

15% discount on food and drink at hotel and bar. Breakfast was excellent! Good value for money. Perfect location; we walked everywhere. Staff was exceedingly helpful for all inquiries. Daily water was appreciated as well as the welcome cookies.
We liked everything. Would stay there again -- definitely.

I loved the location of the hotel, and that it’s a historic building. The room was very comfortable, the staff were extremely nice. Water bottles were refilled on a daily basis. And the provided the best waffles I ate all over a Amsterdam :)

Staff were outstanding and it was fun to stay in a 155 year old hotel. Great location in the middle of Amsterdam. Value was good given the location.
It was top notch. If you need something, you ask for it and they take care of it. Wifi was not great but it worked most of the time.

The location was amazing — we could get everywhere on foot! It’s just behind Dam Square and close to Central Station. One of the reservation staff members, Mr. Ercan, was very kind and helpful — special thanks to him! The room was a bit small, but we had a beautiful city view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was cleanedevery day.

I don't know if it's just an Amsterdam thing but the rooms are terribly small and always DARK. I thought I was paying up to get a bigger room, but it was still tiny, and virtually no window. Just a small one in the corner covered by a shelf.
Tiny room and SO DARK. The city is dark and rainy as it is, but with barely any window light, it feels even more claustrophobic.
