Very different setup. Bathrooms were super spacious.
Bedrooms could use some bright lighting. It was kind of dark. Front desk lady got nicer as the stay went on but the day we got there she was bit rude.

Wonderful
Really nice concept, seems like the hotel fitted inside an old hangar like space with a beautiful common space in the middle, decent room size, friendly staff, good location, comfy bed, good shower with ceiling mounted shower head
No bathroom foot towel was provided. After the shower you will have wet foot marks all over the concrete floor finish which can be slippery. Body wash soap is also used for hand washing that barely lathers.

Beautiful building with so much character and charm. Our room had a view of the courtyard and was comfortable and quiet. We loved the hotel bikes available to borrow, we biked all over town and felt like locals riding them.

Wonderful
The location and the design
The air-con did not work at all and then we moved room and it was very noisy
Also the pillows are way too big

Very Good
It a modern and funky hotel created in a Old Tram Depot building, which gives a lot of charm and character. It is stylish and clean
The rooms located on the 1st floor have no windows. Actually there is a large glass window but it looks into the corridor rather than outside. This means that curtains need to be constantly on.

Very Good
Stayed here with colleagues and had a great experience. Comfortable meeting room, plenty of breakout space, and lots of food/coffee options nearby. My room was clean with a spacious bathroom (atrium view means no daylight, but fine for a short stay). Very friendly staff, especially Maria at reception and the bar team. Would happily return!

Wonderful
The hotel is in the center of Amsterdam, yet it remains very quiet. The interior is very well furnished and clean. The staff is friendly. The space both inside and outside is fantastic.

Wonderful
Location was great. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
I was with my brother and we had two twin beds that we were able to separate for some space, but the rooms are set up better for partners/spouses than family.
There was a wedding at the hotel that we didn't know about until the day of. Because I had left early that morning I didn't know about it and ended up coming back to the room right when the wedding started. Not a big problem (for me), but if we had known the day before instead of day of that would have been helpful.

Location - 20 minutes to central by foot, 6-8 minute walk for Trams, close grocery. Room - very comfortable beds and good aircon, very quiet. Its pretty and now that I understand the building used to be a tram station it all makes sense. Easy to find because of the park/fountain across the street.
Breakfast was good, everyday is the same offering - so for a longer stay that would be repetitive.

Very Poor
Nothing, horrible hotel... this is a scam
They don't write on the description that the rooms are with a glass wall looking inside the building, and there are no opening windows. You are in a closed box, and if you are claustrophobic, you can not sleep there. The picture of the rooms are misleading because they never show the window without curtains so the you can't understand that they cannot be opened.
As soon as we saw the room, I asked the reception to have another room with a normal window, but they said that the hotel was fully booked. On my complaint about the missing information on the rooms description, they said that they are not responsible for what Booking write on their site (not true). I contacted Booking support for the first time, but they were not able to contact the hotel (no answer), so we had to find another hotel.
We finally found (at 23:00) another hotel in Amsterdam and checked out from this hotel. So we didn't use the hotel at all, but they still refuse to give us any refund, and they never answer to the Booking support service.
Stay away from this hotel! It is a scam, and the description and picture of the rooms are fake and misleading.

Exceptional
The street leading to the hotel is nice, super safe, has a cool food hall and nice cafés. There is a supermarket nearby and many food options. The lobby of the hotel is really cute. The hotel is at barely 5 minute walking distance from bus 397 that goes directly to the airport (for a few euros).
The room and bathroom are dark. The main room has a big window but the curtain cannot be drawn because it would expose us to the people in lobby, the various hallways and whomever walks by which means a lot of people. The staff was extremely friendly but a broken bedside lamp was never fixed - we asked 3 times in 5 days.

Wonderful
The best celling mount shower head with generous flow of water. Quiet location, access to tram only few minutes walk. Room was cleaned and bath towel were refreshed everyday.
No window to look outside, so you can only guess what the weather is like.

Fair
Location.
During my stay, I pulled a towel from the rack and a glass—left behind the towels—fell and shattered, cutting my foot. I called the front desk for help to clean, but was told housekeeping was off shift, which I could understand (though surprising for a 4-star hotel not to be able to handle an accident in a room). What was disappointing was the response from one male staff member, who insisted I had placed the glass there—even though I had just returned to the room after housekeeping had cleaned it. I asked for a broom or vacuum to clean it myself—he said he’d bring a broom but never did. When I went down to follow up, he was at the front desk with a friend, who was off duty and drinking wine behind the check-in desk. Instead of helping, he kept insisting it was my fault or my friend’s and said “If I tell housekeeping, they’ll just say it wasn’t their fault.” I wasn’t looking to argue—just to clean up safely. The lack of professionalism from this staff member was disappointing, especially for a Vondelhotel.

Great location. Quiet, beautiful interior. The bed was very soft
There was big clump of hair in the shower left from a previous guest. Cleaning needs to be improved
