Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. A special thanks to the amazing staff who were so warm and went out of their way to help us. It's located in a gorgeous neighborhood. We would love to stay here again!

Wonderful
The hotel’s location was fantastic. You could easily walk to the nearby neighbourhood. The staff were friendly and the rooms were well-designed.
The checkout time was 11, which I think is a bit early. It could be 12.

Pleasant
Room was really clean, bathtub was awesome, location was good - easy to get around, decent food within walking distance.
Breakfast was bad, coffee machine was constantly broken. Wifi sucked, so bad! Made it really hard to plan my day from my room in the am. My room (first floor) was so dark, like a cave. not a great vibe in there.

Good
The hotel has a nice vibe, with a working area in the lobby. Is close to Food de Hallen which is great.
My room didn’t have windows, rather it has inward facing windows (towards the lobby), which didn’t bring natural light and might not suit everyone (privacy concerns).
The staff were nice but not proactive, they didn’t explain about the facilities in the hotel and didn’t inform me that i could order certain items for breakfast. That was disappointing.

Excellent location. Quiet, spacious room. Nice enough staff.
Two twin beds pushed together with an uncomfortable gap in the middle doesn’t make a queen bed. Bathroom design was strange and basically open/in the bedroom.

Good
Great location, comfy bed, friendly staff and a snazzy interior design.
My only critique is that there was a defect in my shower whereby only hot water was flowing and I had to get creative with bath time. It seems the shower fixture was detached when I arrived, someone fixed it during my day out in that it was reattached, but it didn't work properly to regulate the water temperature.

Excellent Location. Near De Hallen Food hall & Movies. In quite trendy suburban area, but 10mins walk into busy central Amsterdam (which we really liked). Quite hotel with great bar and stylish interior design. Room very clean, quiet and spacious. Friendly and quick check-in (many thanks). Highly recommended.
Nothing to note

Disappointing
The location is good, the concept of the hotel is interesting. I found the internal design to be very pleasant, and the concept for internal tables for work was nice, although I did not use it. It's not in the center but is still well connected and with plenty of Cafes and restaurants around. Breakfast is ok - gets the job done.
We booked in advance a room with "view" and 2 separate beds for 3 nights in the beginning of March but when we got there we found out that the room is with a double bed and no windows. The staff said the room fits our level of booking and the extra information is jus booking.com and not them, which is a shame... we wanted to switch to a room like we ordered but the hotel was fully booked, and they said also that MOST ROOMS DONT HAVE WINDOWS, AND THOSE THAT DO - THE WINDOWS DONT OPEN. On top of that, we found out at night that our AC isn't working properly (in booking.com it said AC, not just ventilation - the staff said they cannot have real AC's because its a building for preservation), meaning the room reached beyond 26 degrees Celsius during night while the temperature outside was 3 degrees. The staff tried to fix it but it did not help. with no possibility to open any windows, we eventually were unable to sleep. As we were there for work we simply did what we had to do in Amsterdam as quickly as possible (although dead tired after 2 sleepless nights) and cut our visit short and left the hotel one day earlier, buying ourselves extra expensive train tickets just to get out of the situation and go back home to sleep.
Additionally, the Hotel's front door is closed constantly, and we had to wait for reception to open it for us every time we were out - in wind and rain not such a pleasant experience.

Good
The historic building and the way it was rebuilt and decorated
Despite it being a touristy hotel, it's disconcerting that none of the nice and pleasant staff seem to speak Dutch

Location was great! Not near the central hub of Amsterdam but close enough to walk or take a tram. We prefer staying in more local areas compared to touristy ones and were very satisfied. There is a local food hall right next door. We were a tad nervous about noise but it was SO quiet in there! The pillows were also very comfy! The staff were all very kind and accommodating.
