Slightly let down by an error at check-in where my prepaid travel card was almost emptied by the deposit taken ahead of my stay. This caused me some embarrassment when the card would not go through on a subsequent purchase for petrol. I can't see why such a deposit is necessary when you already have the card details. The error was recognised at check-out and compensation given in the form of two free breakfasts for which I was grateful.

V good breakfast with good variety of stuff, clean
they deduct 60 Euro extra to city tax (6 Euro) from my visa after checkout without clear reason and I contacted them many time still no feedback

Brilliant location just outside tourist hub of canal belt but easy walk to museum oleino etc. Hotel benefits from having own garden directly on canal which is a real oasis. We were in an upper floor so could see across whole central belt up to the main railway station. Hotel has ample parking which is a bonus in Amsterdam. Breakfast, staff, facilities all fabulous. Utterly content with our stay,
